First and foremost, I will admit that never in my wildest dreams did I expect that this movie would have a sequel. But now that it is made and out there, I will admit that it is way better than the first part. So this time things get even more serious. Last time, the gang leader’s daughter was killed in a rivalry between the two gangs. This time around, it is the gang leader who is killed in a car bomb, with no warning whatsoever. But I believe that is what the life of gangsters is.
Hakin, who is double-minded about carrying on in this line of crime, wishes to get out of it. The question is. Can he get out? And even if he does, how will he? Now his entire gang must elect a new leader to avenge the death of the old one. The main question is, in the world of undercover, how will Hakin manage since he already wishes to quit the world of crime? Throughout the movie, we see how his seniors try to convince him and remind him that what he is doing is not for himself but for the greater good. However, after a certain point in life, how far can you work for an organization, keeping aside your personal interests?
So again, the film is full of action and drama. You will get that a lot, although for some of you, this might be a deal-breaker. There is a lot of bloodshed that takes place, and the entire movie is based on that. What else can you expect in a mafia-themed movie except for bloodshed and lots of banging of heads?
Other than that, the pacing is uneven. In some places, it goes fast, and then in some places, it slows down so much that you get irritated. Another issue is that the plot is a bit confusing. Some subplots add up to the chaos. You are left wondering what is happening and what the context is behind it. There are new characters introduced as well. But like I mentioned, some aspects make this movie better than the first one. For example, even though the plot is still confusing, compared to the first one, we are sure of things like Hakin wanting to leave the undercover world and the murder of the gang leader. So there is a great amount of clarity that the makers offer us this time. Even the character of Hakin is developed pretty well at this time. The makers successfully show us the dilemma he is in. But the question that I have is that even though Hakin is an undercover, as a police officer, why isn’t any strict action taken against these gangs in the movie? For long will he act as an undercover? Won't the police bust them someday, like they somewhat did in the first part? I believe that we will have to watch the third part if the makers decide on it.
Other than that, if you wish to watch, then this can be a one-time watch for those who are into action movies. For the rest of us, maybe we can skip. Because watching the second part requires one to watch the first one, and overall, there are far better action movies that exist and are about to come. So, we can invest our time and energy in those.
Final Score- [6/10]
