GTA 5 is now free on the Epic Games Store, though you might have a bit of trouble collecting your loot. It turns that a lot of people want to grab it, and the high traffic is causing slow loading times and launcher crashes. Good luck!

 

Update (5/15/2020 12AM): The Epic Games website is up and running after recovering from the earlier crash. I also made a purchase myself to check if it is working completely fine, and here is the receipt:

Despite launching on PC Six years ago, GTA 5 is consistently among the top ten most popular games on Steam and boasts as many active players now as it's ever had—there's a pretty good chance you already own it.

 

If it's yet to grace your game library, however, you'll be able to grab it on the Epic Games Store from today until May 21. It's a good time to jump in, as there's some weird stuff going down in GTA Online—with players currently staging an alien invasion.
