Netflix Sets Premiere Date for Turkish Original ‘The Gift’ Season 2

Season 1 ended with Atiye and Cansu outside the cave, but Cansu identifies herself as Elif and tells her that She has mistaken her for someone else

Netflix has announced the premiere date for season 2 of Turkish Original and supernatural-Drama series “The Gift” also originally titled "Atiye". Season 2 episodes will be released on September 10th worldwide. The announcement came today with a short 20-sec video uploaded by Netflix on its youtube channel (watch above).


Season 2 will see Atiye reckoning with a different world as she races against time to realize her destiny as the mysterious syndicate behind Serdar threatens the future.

 

The show stars Beren Saat, who will return as Atiye in season 2. Other Cast members includes Mehmet Günsür, Metin Akdülger, Melisa Senolsun, Basak Köklükaya, Civan Canova, Tim Seyfi and Meral Çetinkaya.


Season 1 which premiered last year in December, ended with Atiye and Cansu outside the cave, but Cansu identifies herself as Elif and tells her that Atiye has mistaken her for someone else. Atiye walks out confusedly and sees the symbol painted on the wall in front of her.

 

Netflix pre-ordered 2 seasons at once when they announced the deal with Turkey’s OG Medya back in 2019 and it became the second supernatural-drama based in Turkey after “The Protector,” whose season 4 was released last month.

 

The series is produced by British producer Alex Sutherland with Turkey’s OG Medya.
