In the world we live in, the male population outgrows the female population. But have you ever wondered about a world where the female population has outgrown the male population? In this parallel universe, this is what has happened. The male birth rate has dropped and despite all efforts to retrieve it through modern-day medical sophisticated methods, the same could not be achieved. In such a dire situation the males are nothing but a prized possession, an endangered species. So much so that the government has put them on a farm to protect them. Sounds like a hostage situation? No, dear reader, they are well cared for and fed and everything is government-funded.
Now, I will ask you a simple question: Have you watched shows like Bachelor in Paradise, Splitsvilla, or Takeshi’s Castle? That's because if you have then it will be a lot easier for you to understand the entire show. So here's what happens: every year a government-sponsored contest takes place where the girls compete against each other to win over boys eligible for marriage and get married into their families. Not only that, the family of the girl is well taken care of. This time there are five boys - Max, Son, Almon, Paper, and Jin. While watching these five boys, you are reminded of the boy band BTS.
Amongst the competitors is one girl- Darika Chokwithee aka Day who didn't plan to participate. But her cancer-ridden sister Valentine applies on her behalf. Dumbstruck she enters the contest and does her best to survive it. She wants to leave it, but once she gets to know about the top care medical help her sister would be entitled to upon her winning the competition, Day makes it her mission to win it. But will she make it to the end? Moreover, is there something that the government is trying to hide? Are the boys truly living their best life? Or there's more to what the eye sees.

With just six episodes and loads of fun games inside the show for the girls to win the contest, Ready Set Love offers a fun watch to the viewers. There is a plot that unveils itself gradually through the episodes which manages to serve your dosage of entertainment.
