The first teaser of the upcoming FX series, ‘Alien: Earth’ has leaked online after it premiered during the screening of Alien: Romulus in the US theaters. The small teaser (watch above) that gives us a glimpse of Xenomorph, also confirms that the series will release in 2025. The teaser also shows planet Earth reflected in the shiny mirror-like head of the Xenomorph.
Alien: Romulus which is currently playing in the theaters has impressed Alien fans and critics all over the world. This has also raised the expectations from this series that is executively produced by Ridley Scott, the director of "Alien (1979)."
‘Alien: Earth’ was titled just last month after it wrapped filming in Thailand. It resumed production in February this year after being halted due to the SAG-AFTRA strike the previous year.
‘Alien: Earth’ will serve as a prequel set three decades before the events of the 1979 film Alien. Sydney Chandler will play Wendy, a woman who has the body of an adult and the consciousness of a child. Wendy is described as a new form of hybrid "meta-human" who combines the brain and mind of an adult with those of a kid. The description also states that she learns to operate her new body under the supervision of Kirsh, a synth and a human scientist. Another key figure is 'Hermit', a young human physician who serves in a huge corporation's private military.
The remaining cast includes Alex Lawther as CJ, a soldier, Samuel Blenkin as Boy Kavalier, a CEO, Essie Davis as Dame Silvia, Adarsh Gourav as Slightly, Kit Young as Tootles, Timothy Olyphant as Kirsh, Wendy's synth mentor and trainer, David Rysdahl, Babou Ceesay, Jonathan Ajayi, Erana James, Lily Newmark, Diêm Camille, Adrian Edmondson, Sandra Yi Sencindiver as a senior member of the Weyland-Yutani Corporation, and Moe Bar-El.
Created by Noah Hawley, who also serves as showrunner, the series is executive produced by Ridley Scott for Scott Free Productions. Apart from being a prequel to the original Alien movie and somewhat directly related to Earth (as the title suggests), there is hardly any solid info regarding the plot of the series.
Recently released Alien: Romulus which is giving a spectacular performance in the theaters, follows a group of young space colonizers who encounter the most terrifying life form in the universe while scavenging the depths of a decommissioned space station.
