‘Lucifer’ Season 5B Officially Gets a Premiere Date on Netflix

‘Lucifer’ Season 5A ended in an epic double showdown with Lucifer fighting Maze, and Amenadiel fighting Michael

Netflix has finally announced the premiere date for the long-awaited part two of "Lucifer" season 5. Season 5B, which has kept the fans on their toes for the past 7-8 months, will arrive on 28th May, worldwide.


The first part of season 5 premiered back in August, and fans were eagerly waiting for Season 5B premiere date announcement, which was delayed due to the pandemic. Season 5B will dive into the aftermath of the midseason's finale daddy of a cliffhanger: God (Dennis Haysbert) descending from Heaven to break up Lucifer, Amenadiel, and Michael's (Ellis) brutal precinct squabble.

 


The first eight episodes of Lucifer season 5 are available to watch on Netflix. ‘Lucifer’ Season 6 is currently in production and is likely to premiere by the end of 2021.


Earlier, Lucifer season 6 added Merrin Dungey, who will play Sonya, a no-nonsense cop who forms an unlikely bond with Amenadiel, and Brianna Hildebrand, who will play Rory, a rebellious and angsty angel hoping to follow in Lucifer's footsteps, she'll eventually "realize Lucifer isn’t exactly the devilish big bro she hoped he’d be.


Based upon the characters created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth, and Mike Dringenberg, LUCIFER is the story of the original fallen angel. Lucifer Morningstar, bored from his sulking life in hell, comes to live in Los Angeles. While there, he helps humanity with its miseries through his experience and telepathic abilities to bring people's deepest desires and thoughts out of them. While meeting with a Detective in his nightclub (Lux), a shootout involving him and the Detective leads him to become an LAPD consultant who tries to punish people for their crimes through law and justice.
