TV Shows Reviews

Baby Fever with its first season brought forward a unique story. By the end of the first installment, it's clear that Nana is pregnant and Mathias has no clue about it. The second season begins with her in a club with her daughter and other mothers singing lullabies. It wasn't a pleasant experience for her. Somehow being a mother didn't bring any change in her and often you'll find her disconnected from her child. She's shown no attachment to her baby and that's reflected by how she didn't even name her. Usually, parents have thought of names beforehand but Nana has no clue about it (just like other things in her life).

Her character might be one of the worst ones I've seen till now and it was extremely painful to watch these six episodes. If you wonder how without any storyline a whole season can be made then go and watch Baby Fever Season 2. The characters are so poorly developed that I wonder why this series got renewed in the first place. This season has no story to tell however if you're in to watch how a doctor can manipulate the patients as well as resources, you're welcome to watch the show.

Nana was on two months of maternity leave, it's being called leave because she was actually kicked out of the clinic. Being a mother wasn't her forte and so she found herself back in the fertility clinic. Helle is a good boss as she gives Nana another chance despite the crime committed at her hands. Nana asked her mother to babysit and after many requests, she said yes. Now, Nana goes to the clinic where she's found a rival. Another doctor joined the clinic in her absence and he's the hero now. Hampus is also called the New Nana by the staff and Helle. Nana couldn't accept it and can be seen indulging in petty fights to get on Helle’s good side.

Amidst all this, she finally muster up the courage to tell Mathias about his daughter. Things didn't go well and he took his time to accept this. Nana wasn't satisfied with this and furthermore tried to break Mathias’s relationship with his girlfriend. She even withheld the information about his girlfriend being pregnant. The lengths to which Nana has abused her profession, she deserves to be sentenced to jail but, people around her are so forgiving that she gets her escape every time. The story drifts in every direction possible and you keep wondering if there's anything worth watchable in this show or not.

Josephine Park plays the role of Nana and she seemed so distant from her character. The casting has been a misfit and there are rarely any scenes where you see her acting. It's like she doesn't like her job and came to set just for the sake of it. Other than her, everyone did a decent job. In all, Baby Fever Season 2 can be easily skipped without a second thought. There are a total of six episodes with a duration of 30-35 minutes each.

Final Score – [4/10]
