Netflix has revealed the first teaser trailer and release date for the Japanese-language version of ‘Romantics Anonymous.’ The life’s sweetest romance, Romantics Anonymous, will be released on October 16, 2025, on Netflix worldwide.
The first look teaser trailer features Sosuke Fujiwara (Shun Oguri), the heir of a huge candy firm, who is afraid of germs and avoids touching people. Opposite him is Hana (Han Hyo-joo), a talented chocolatier who crafts their best-selling treats. Because she is terrified of making eye contact, she works as an incognito chocolatier at the popular and beautiful chocolate shop, Le Sauveur.
When Sosuke takes over as head of Le Sauveur, he seeks to overhaul operations and meets with Hana, who is similarly concerned. To their astonishment, she is able to look Sosuke in the eyes, and he does not shrink from touching her. What follows is a delightful, slow-burning look at their daily encounters, as the two gradually and gently grow closer to one another. We also meet Hiro (Jin Akanishi), Sosuke's best friend and the proprietor of a jazz club whom Hana secretly admires, and Irene (Yuri Nakamura), an old friend of Sosuke's and a therapist who also serves as Hana's counselor. Viewers will want to pay attention to how the lives of these four individuals intersect.
Ryo Narita plays Takashi Fujiwara, Sosuke's supporting cousin at work, and Ayumi Ito plays Motomi Kawamura, Le Sauveur's top chocolatier, who devotes her heart and soul to the shop. Eiji Okuda portrays Kenji Kuroiwa, the proprietor of Le Sauveur, a chocolatier who understands Hana's scopophobia and loves profoundly about her profoundly. Koichi Sato completes the cast as Shuntaro Fujiwara, Sosuke's father and the chairman of Futago Confectionery.
Director Sho Tsukikawa, recognized for his talent in love stories, successfully organized this ensemble, which included some of Asia's greatest creators: Lee Ha-jun (Parasite) oversaw the production design, Jin-mo Yang (Parasite) edited, Kosuke Yamada (Beyond Goodbye) directed the cinematography, and Dalpalan, an award-winning veteran music director from South Korea, wrote the soundtrack.
