The Walking Dead: World Beyond Release Date & Season 1 Comic-Con Trailer

Showrunner Matt Negrete confirmed that they wrapped “The Walking Dead: World Beyond” post-production before the lockdown

“The Walking Dead: World Beyond,” will debut on Oct 4. at 10 p.m. ET immediately after the Season 10 finale of “The Walking Dead.” That show was also set to debut in April but was pushed back due to the pandemic. A special episode of “Talking Dead” discussing both episodes will air after the series premiere. An extended trailer can be viewed above.


Showrunner Matt Negrete confirmed that they wrapped “The Walking Dead: World Beyond” post-production before the lockdown - "All the first season is in the can...we are in the midst of working on Season 2 right now.” 

 

Matt also revealed he calls the walkers "empties" in his show because that's how Jesus referred to them in “The Walking Dead” comics.


Show creator Scott Gimple also mentioned CRM community that took Rick: "They're a HUGE presence in this story, and it explains a lot to what we've seen on the other shows...there's a lot we're going to learn."

 

AMC also announced during their Comic Con At Home Panels that the new seasons of Fear the Walking Dead AND The Walking Dead: World Beyond will both air back-to-back on Sundays starting October 11th. The first episode of World Beyond, however, will premiere the week before at 10PM, immediately following The Walking Dead Season 10 Finale.
