No movie is flawless, not even those that win Oscars. Creating a perfect film is not a cakewalk. However, that doesn’t mean a plot hole is okay since it spoils the viewer's experience.

Seven Fantastic Movies With Not-So-Fantastic Plot Flaws
Hold your seats, as you might find it shocking to see some of the all-time hit movies on this list. We beg your pardon if we have listed a movie you adore.
#1 — Star Wars
Star Wars is an all-time favorite of many and is a long-running franchise. If you stop being too impressed by the graphics and effects used in the movie and pay some attention to the details, you will find many plot holes.
● Star Wars: Episode IV: A New Hope. A space station capable of destroying a whole planet species turns into pieces with a single shot that hits the exhaust port. How?
● Star Wars: Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. Luke loses his lightsaber and gets it back in Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi. How did that happen? There should be an explanation, at least.
● Star Wars: Episode VIII: The Last Jedi. Admiral Holdo sacrifices herself by performing hyperspace ramming, whose powers were never discussed.
#2 — The Dark Knight Rises (2012)
The audience of The Dark Knight Rises still needs clarification. When the villain, Bane, trapped the police officers of Gotham City they spent several months underground. However, after the rescue, they look sharp and dapper. They showed no signs of malnutrition. It seems Commander Gordon took great care of the police officers!
Despite such a flaw, the film has a lot of catchy moments and interesting facts:
● Christopher Nolan used a real plane as the set for the final scene.
● The film's budget was over $250 million making it one of the most expensive movies in Hollywood.
● The Dark Knight Rises received 8 Oscar nominations and won the Academy Award for Best Sound Editing.
#3 — 21 (2008)
The very fact that this movie was based on the true story of a group of MIT students made it interesting. The scenes of casinos and characters winning huge money in the Blackjack game sound thrilling. But, no one questioned the leads when they kept winning bet after bet.
Real casinos don’t work like that. You might learn to trick a slot machine to win, but if you win continuously or always gets the best hand in card games, the casinos can sense that something fishy is happening. The card-counting technique portrayed in the movie is also very simple. The characters were on a winning spree by always assigning +1 to low cards and -1 to high cards. Ask any actual Blackjack expert, and they will explain that card-counting techniques are far more complex than this.
#4 — Jurassic Park (1998)
Jurassic Park is otherwise a very gripping movie. But, what annoyed most of its fans is that T. rex appears silently in the film. We all can imagine how aggressive T. rex is. But, the movie shows it appearing discreetly. It's hard to swallow.
However, it's worth noting that:
● It was the first movie to use CGI (Computer-Generated Imagery) and it was a huge hit at the box office.
● The idea of cloning dinosaurs came from the novel by Michael Crichton.
● Jeff Goldblum famously improvised many of his lines in the film.
#5 — The Shawshank Redemption (1994)
It breaks our hearts to say that this masterpiece has an apparent flaw. One of the most highly acclaimed movies of all time and a 9.3/10 rating grabber on IMDb — The Shawshank Redemption had everything perfect, the dialogues, the acting, the casting, the screenplay, the plot, the emotions, and so on.
But, a minor mistake dented its prestige. How uncareful was it to show the poster intact and well-placed on the wall that Andy (Tom Hawkins) tore the previous night to escape from the jail? Though the movie was so thrilling that it hardly mattered, it’s a definite flaw.
#6 — The Hangover (2009)
Who doesn’t love “The Hangover”? It has comedy, fun elements, and moments that take you on a memory ride of your silly adulthood.
But, the movie failed to present the true vibes of casino culture in Vegas, where the narrative is majorly based. Who can spend days and nights on a casino roof and stay unnoticed? And, when someone goes missing, who misses the very basic thing- checking the last location?
However, we are not so strict as not to highlight the features of the film:
● The movie includes unique characters, non-stop dialogues, and witty humor.
● The film was shooted on location in Las Vegas.
● The missing tooth of Ed Helms, who played Stu, was real.
#7 — A Quiet Place ( 2018)
We were glued to our couches when the terrifying tale of sound-hating monsters — A Quiet Place was told. In the movie, the characters used to spend their lives in silence. But, they can talk around the waterfall as the gushing noise of water makes human sounds unnoticed.
Now the legit question comes; why don’t they stay around the waterfall? Why do they have to zip their lips and spend days in terror? On the other hand, this movie is more about a family’s struggle to survive and keep each other safe than it is about monsters.
Some interesting facts about filming include:
● The sound of the monster was created by blending whale sounds with that of a bear's growl.
● The cast and crew were told not to speak on set, and to communicate using sign language.
● The script was written over the course of a year by stars John Krasinski and Bryan Woods, who had originally set out to create a sci-fi movie.
