GG Good Game is about Seth, a teenager who likes playing competitive online games instead of focusing on his school. This all can be attributed to the fact that his family never gave him enough attention. Abandoned by his mother when he was just a kid and then being raised by his grandmother, there was always a hole in his heart yearning for motherly love.

After Seth’s grandma's demise, he was taken in by his mother and went to live with her new family which included his step-brother and stepfather. There wasn't much attention paid to him other than providing him with lavish facilities and the top school.

The boy was involved in a gaming group and most of the movie is about how the group is determined to ace the nationals. There are scenes that show them competing, searching for a player, and then going for nationals. Icebox, the new player is a mysterious one, and the identity is revealed at last.

GG showed us great team spirit and what it means to be true to each other. Seth's character wasn't shown as it should be. The character had great depths to which the possibilities of GG being a good watch were high. What truly wins your heart is the last ten minutes and the hidden love that comes in front of the eyes of the audience.

In my opinion, GG instead of a good game is an incomplete game. The plot itself seems half-baked so, even if the best acting efforts are put in (which have been) it couldn't be called a successful title. What needed to be emphasized in the movie remained in the backdrops until just a few minutes were left to pull the curtain.

The hidden bond and love Seth‘s mother had for him could easily be a swoon-worthy title and instead of just five minutes, if even an hour or even thirty minutes were spent, the movie could've been more watchable.

The writers did have great ideas in mind, hints of the same have been provided in a few scenes like the one in which a gamer of the group brings his sister to the game house. The hardships this boy had to face in his personal life like bearing his father's toxic side had potential. I'm not saying that the gaming competitions involved were not interesting however they were not interesting enough to hold or grab our attention.

In all, GG doesn't qualify for even a one-time watch. Imagine watching such a handsome lead on screen and then looking at what they've made them act for. All the actors have played their roles in the best way possible.

Final Score – [4.5/10]
