If you were confused by the long-time jump in the sixth episode of ‘House of the Dragon,’ be ready to see another in the eighth episode - The Lord of the Tides, which is set another 10 years after the previous episode.

Episodes 6 and 7 were probably the first two consecutive episodes which didn't involve any time gaps and can be clubbed together, but the rest of the episodes have seen time jumps from two to ten years between them. Now, Episode 8 titled, The Lord of the Tides will see the final time jump in the first season and it will be a significant ten-year jump forcing a few characters to be replaced again with their older versions.

Although many actors will remain the same, we are still going to see many new faces in the House Targaryen, which has been caught in a family feud between Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen and Queen Alicent Hightower.

Among the central characters - Ewan Mitchell will be now playing Aemond Targaryen, second-born son of Viserys, and half-brother to Rhaenyra. Ewan is replacing Leo Ashton who played the character in the previous two episodes. Aemond rode Vhagar during the last episode and lost one eye after a fight with his nephews making him Aemond One-Eye. Tom Glynn-Carney is playing Aegon Targaryen, the first-born son of King Viserys. Tom is replacing Ty Tennant, who impressed the fans with his performance in the previous two episodes. Phia Saban is playing Helaena Targaryen, the second-born daughter of Viserys, and sister to Aegon, and Aemond. Phia is replacing Evie Allen.

Phoebe Campbell is playing Rhaena Targaryen, the second daughter of Lady Laena and sister to Baela. Phoebe is replacing Eva Ossei-Gerning. Bethany Antonia is playing Baela Targaryen, the eldest daughter of Laena Velaryon and rider of the young dragon Moondancer. Bethany is replacing Shani Smethurst.

Harry Collett is playing Jacaerys Velaryon, the eldest son of Rhaenyra Targaryen. Collett is replacing Leo Hart. Elliot Grihault is playing Lucerys Velaryon replacing the young version played by Harvey Sadler in the previous episodes.

The preview of ‘House of the Dragon’ Episode 8 has already teased the battle for Iron Throne growing within the House Targaryen. For the first time this season, we might notice King Viserys Targaryen's absence or a very minor appearance in this episode. The teaser has confirmed that Otto Hightower will be in charge in the absence of the King, which will create more distance between Queen Alicent and Princess Rhaenyra.

Below is the preview of ‘House of the Dragon’ Episode 8, which will premiere today at 9 PM EST on HBO. Episode 7 was leaked on the internet just a few hours before the premiere making it the third episode of the season, which was leaked in advance. ‘House of the Dragon’ Episode 8 currently doesn't seem to be available to download on any pirated website means HBO has so far protected it from being leaked online.
