Boyd suffered, he survived, but Ms. Tian Chen didn't. The previous episode ended with Boyd and Chen being held by the monsters. The monsters made Boyd watch while they were ripping apart Ms. Chen. The new episode opens with Chen's body in terrible condition, she was dead, but Boyd was only handcuffed with his hand on the back. The scene was heart-wrenching as Tian Chen was one of the most loveable characters in the show.

The second episode is all about the whole town mourning the death of one of their finest human being. Kenny is out there with Jim, unaware of what's happening in the town. However, the two found something that made them return happily. When Jim and Kenny return with loads of vegetables, they wouldn't have expected sad faces welcoming them, but soon they get to know about the tragedy that unfolded the previous night.

Meanwhile, Tabitha finds Victor's father in the real world, who seems to be very concerned about a lady holding his son's tiffin box, years after his disappearance. Tabitha wakes up on a couch in Victor's house and soon finds herself opposite a gun held by Victor's father. She somehow convinces him that his son is still alive in a town from where no one can get out. Tabitha talks about her visions of children being locked up in a tower, and this clicks something in Victor's father, who remembers that something similar was happening with his wife as well. Tabitha seems to have found a new ally who likely knows a lot about the town, but never believed it.

Apart from Tabitha's discovery, the episode doesn't move the plot by much. We also see Fatima being sick, and then eating the rotten vegetables quite joyfully and with satisfaction. There might be something sinister cooking inside Fatima’s, but we have to wait at least a few episodes to find that out.

The second episode was very emotional, not just for the towns, but also for the audience. With this devastating tragedy, the human connection was strengthened with the whole town mourning together, and perhaps in order to break Boyd, the monsters might have united the whole town.

Apart from a few things here and there, the second episode didn't offer much progress to the storyline, however, it does end with Jim receiving a cryptic call.

Final Score - [7/10]
