Okay, so first things first, this series is pretty long. And even after binge-watching, you might not be able to finish. Now, coming to the plot. Some thirty years ago, a nurse in a San Francisco hospital by mistake switched babies. This changed the life of Andrés Ferreira, who grew up in full luxury, and Brayan Galindo Romero, who was raised in a humble background. Now, of course, my dear readers, you have understood that had the baby exchange not taken place, you would have gotten a better life.  And now there has to be a truth revelation because the characters must know who the real deserving person is by destiny. Andrés, the wealthy fellow, ends up losing all he had. That means Andrés’s loss is Brayan’s gain. This is what the rest of the plot follows: how their lives change, and whether they will ever go back to their old life. Will they ever adjust? Who is the real owner of the wealth amassed?

One good thing about this show is that it balances emotions well. There is a touch of seriousness and lots of humorous moments that keep it engaging. However, the length of the show and the episodes in general is a bit too much. This could have been reduced as the plot didn’t really need it.

When it comes to performances, the actors are good. Variel Sánchez, who plays Bryan, portrays the character well to define a man who has been suddenly handed over wealth that was initially supposed to be his. On the other hand, Juan Manuel Guilera as Andrés Ferreira also does a commendable job. His character’s rivalry with that of Variel Sánchez’s Bryan helps to give us some funny moments. The actors have great comic timing, which is why the show doesn’t seem boring.

Not only the main cast but also the supporting cast does a good job. Lina Tejeiro as Rosmery Peláez and Laura Barjum as Fernanda Sanmiguel bring a sense of romance, tension, and loyalty to the plot. They make it intriguing and fun to watch. Fernanda’s manipulation in certain episodes adds the much-needed intrigue to keep us completely hooked. Her character development is good to witness. Further Ricardo Mejía as Mateo López Ferreira who is the antagonist, through her planning and plotting continues with the plot twist that we look forward to.

Although this is a remake of the Colombian classic of the same name, the makers and writers of this show deserve to be praised. They have kept the premise the same but added some touches that make the series look new and original.

So if you are looking for a light, long-term investment in a show, this is your best option. Directed by seasoned talents Rodrigo Triana and Juan Carlos Vásquez, this series, although requires patience to watch, however, if you have it, might as well give it a shot.

Final Score- [8/10]
