Have you been missing Emma Robert? No worries because she is back with another movie. Meet Rex Simpson a bartender who dreams of being in space i.e. astronaut. Rex has had a history of being a science genius. Now this isn’t a typical serious space movie that you expect. Rather it is a funny movie. A serendipitous meeting with an old classmate, now the CEO of a burgeoning private spaceflight company, ignites a long-dormant ambition in Rex. This unexpected encounter serves as a catalyst, reminding her of the dreams she once held close. Determined to pursue these aspirations, Rex eagerly navigates to the NASA website, resolute in her decision to apply for the astronaut program.

However, a significant obstacle quickly becomes apparent: Rex lacks the formal qualifications typically required for such a prestigious role. Fear not, because her best friend Nadiline forges documents for her. Soon Rex is accepted into her dream institute, which also makes you question whether is fooling NASA this easily. Well of course not but this is a movie and hence we go with the flow.

At first glance, Rex seems like the least likely candidate for an astronaut program, exuding an air more reminiscent of Elle Woods stepping onto the prestigious grounds of Harvard Law School. Her vibrant personality and unconventional background make her stand out in a field dominated by stoic engineers and seasoned pilots. The pressing question is: Is Rex truly ready to embark on a journey to space? Does she possess the necessary qualities to transcend Earth's bounds, or is she merely another dreamer with lofty ambitions but lacking the caliber to see them through?

Rex's outward appearance and non-traditional resume might suggest she's out of her depth, but beneath the surface lies a formidable intellect and an unyielding drive. Her inventive prowess, demonstrated by her creation of patent-worthy tanning mirrors, showcases her ability to think creatively and solve complex problems—skills that are invaluable in the unpredictable and challenging environment of space.

"Space Cadet" is an entertaining film that offers a light-hearted take on the journey to the stars. However, if you're a dedicated and serious space enthusiast, you might find yourself somewhat disappointed by its lack of scientific rigor and depth. And that's perfectly fine. The movie isn't aimed at hard-core space buffs but rather at those looking for a fun and engaging story. For viewers seeking pure entertainment, "Space Cadet" delivers with its charming narrative and playful spirit. The film provides plenty of laughs and engaging moments, reminiscent of the delightful charm of "Legally Blonde." It captures the essence of an underdog story, with a protagonist who, despite seemingly insurmountable odds, pursues her dreams with relentless determination. Emma Roberts as Quikery Rex does justice to the role. The plot however could have been made a little better than what it actually is. So, while it may not satisfy the stringent standards of serious space aficionados, "Space Cadet" will keep you entertained with its humor, heart, and protagonist who embodies the quirky, unstoppable spirit of Elle Woods in a new and exciting setting.

Final Score- [6/10]
