Though this movie is not related to “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”, it will remind you of it in some instances. The movie starts with an old woman named Lilia narrating her story to her doctor after she witnesses their breakup. The plot then goes back to 1941 Baguio, when the Japanese attacked and the war broke out. Due to this, the old lady, who was a child back then, along with her family, fled Baguio to move to Batangas. One night, while lurking in the fields, she met a cat named Matias. She gets him inside her house, much to her parents' dismay. One night, she finally sees that Matias is a man who can also become a cat. Now in the present day, the doctor tells Lilia that she needs blood, without which she has a high chance of dying, and even suggests that she call Matias.

Though Lilia knows that his blood is of no use, we still see Matias. And that’s when things become super clear to us. Matias hasn’t aged one bit since the footage we saw of him back in Lilia’s childhood. But how can it be possible that Lilia is on her deathbed while he hasn’t aged at all? That’s when we realize that he isn’t the person he pretends to be. During the day, he is something else, and by night, he becomes someone else. He gives us his backstory, which makes it understandable that he can turn into a vampire. Sadly, he fell in love with a human, and now he doesn’t want her to die. But can he go against time and nature?

This was by far the most stupid movie I have ever watched. At first, I was intrigued, but when I figured out what creature he was, I lost all interest. At this point, even if he is a hybrid version of a vampire, I really don’t care. None of it makes sense. The makers have tried their level best to create that sense of intrigue in us by keeping Matis mysterious. They have even given Lilia a back story, which I won’t deny is pretty good, too. However, once we are told who and what Matis is, we start to lose interest in all of this. Their love story is also that typical type of an immortal being falling in love with a human who is aging.

The makers have also tried to evoke a lot of sympathy for Matis by telling us that being immortal is a curse to him since he has witnessed many deaths. But I don’t know why; the entire film feels really funny. Everyone is overacting, and there is no emotion at all. It goes on and on and feels boring. Because this is the kind of pot you have seen before. It’s a mix of everything that you have seen so far. Hence, what are you getting? Nothing. At one point, you don’t even care if he managed to save Lilia from dying. So dear viewers, I won’t really recommend this movie. Instead of watching something else, which is much better than this trash.

Final Score- [4/10]
