‘The Wheel of Time’ Season 2 Episode 8 Preview Trailer - Rand to Face Seanchan and Rescue Egwene?

The second season of The Wheel of Time is nearing its end as we are just hours away from the Season 2 finale. The penultimate episode has a lot of action and twists that ultimately set up an exciting finale.

The seventh episode followed Rand aka Dragon Reborn who appeared in front of Amyrlin Seat. However, Siuan declared him not ready to face what's coming and locked him up in a cell restricting the use of his one power. But Moiraine has some other ideas as she decides him to set free even if it is done with the help of Lanfear. As the Cairhien city turns into Turmoil and fire, Moiraine tries to escape along with Rand with the help of Lan, Alanna, and Verin, but Siuan Sanche stops them. The Waygate which would have led them to the city of Falme gets closed.

Moiraine tries to convince Siuan for the sake of their friendship and love, but Siuan doesn't listen and casts a powerful spell that even Moiraine who recently got her One Power back couldn't stop her. When their escape plan seems to have failed, Lanfear arrives knocks out Siuan, and opens a new Waygate to visit the city where Ishamael resides.

The eighth episode trailer hints at a reunion of all the friends (they will be in one place after a long time), although they all are unlikely to meet each other at the same time. According to the teaser, there will be a battle between Rand and Seanchan, with Ishamael playing an important part in the conflict. It also shows Moiraine and Lan talking about how the last Dragon, Lews, got into a conflict with Ishamael and Lanfear.

The trailer also suggests that The Wheel of Time season 2 may end up with a major conflict between Rand and Seanchan and we might not see Egwene getting free from the clutches of Seanchan this season. Given Rand's true power, the episode may reveal the depths of his strength in ways never seen before. However, Ishamael looks to have the upper hand at some point, towering above a perplexed Rand near the conclusion of the trailer.

The series has already been renewed for a third season which is currently filming, so no matter how big cliffhanger the second season ends, we will get the answers probably in 2025 when Season 3 will premiere.
