Entrévias is the neighborhood in which the lead character of our show lives- the war veteran Tirso. He has a problematic relationship with his family. As a result, he lives alone and is only recalled by his family when they need money from him. It's not as if he doesn't want them to come and visit him. Instead, he just wants them to become perfect for themselves.

Irene, his adopted granddaughter, leads a problematic life, and she desires to run away with her boyfriend for which they need a lot of money. Nelson (Irene's boyfriend) and Irene get lured in by seeing the quick cash the drug dealers make. They acquired a kilo of heroin from them but were unable to sell or deliver it as the police detained them. Tirso is now aware of all the problems in which his granddaughter is entangled, and he must protect her from the drug mafias.

The plot of the series has been well written. Nona Sobo, who played the role of Irene, is making her TV debut, and she has performed really well. The way she molded herself into the character of Irene, it didn't feel for a fraction of a second that it was her first show. She is a complex girl who has no attachment to her parents. For her, it is just Nelson she can totally rely on. This 17-year-old girl thinks that nothing's wrong in the world, but she was wrong and on the Wrong Side of the Tracks.

Drug-related crimes are on the rise in Entrévias and other areas of Spain, and the series focused on how drugs and their consumption affects an individual and their family. It's not just a single person who gets affected; rather, the whole family has to take a toll on it. These issues have been beautifully explained throughout the series.

Teenage relationships and how silly they can be! It can be understood by just looking at what all Irene and Nelson get themself into. A child expects love from their parents, and when they fail to give them attention then, things don't end up in a good direction. It's not just money that a parent needs to give to his/ her children. What they also need to give is care and support. Irene just got financial assistance from her parents. They weren't available to her emotionally, and thus she couldn't open up to her parents about the things happening with the drug mafia.

The script being very descriptive did disappoint me at various points. which includes a few racial remarks. In my opinion, you should STREAM IT as many real issues are covered in the series. The beautiful neighborhood of Madrid has been shown with real issues. Currently, only one season is available on Netflix, I hope that the second season also gets added soon.

Final Score – [7.5/10]
