“Bridgerton” has been renewed for seasons 3 and 4 by Netflix, the announcement was made today in Lady Whistledown’s Society Papers. Season 3 and 4 will shoot back-to-back with season 2.
Season 2 of the show, which hails from Shonda Rhimes’ Shondaland, is set to start production this month and in keeping with the novels, tells a new romance story. Lord Anthony Bridgerton, played by Jonathan Bailey, will dominate the social season. Season one star, Regé-Jean Page’s character, the Duke of Hastings, will not appear in the second season.

They have some exciting plans for the future, and we think audiences will continue to swoon for this show. We’re planning to be in the ‘Bridgerton’ business for a long time to come.”
