TV Shows Reviews

The third episode of this season ended with many questions like the identity of the woman who was speaking on the radio when the frequency was set and why she warned the investigating trio that the last person who asked questions ended up dead. Also, what's up with this Dudenoff guy, he's never around and we have no clue about his involvement. The fourth episode of Only Murders in the Building begins with Charles having an elaborate dream about him following Sazz in a forest. She's injured and is talking about going to ‘paradise’. Getting restless after this dream, Charles decided to make another murder board. They concluded that she was killed because she was asking questions on the radio and was using the ham radio. These reasons don't sound logical at all as by the tone of the lady speaking on the radio, it appeared like a prank. We've almost approached the middle of this season and no substantial progress is being made. This is making the audience anxious and doubtful about the capabilities of this season. Out of ten, four episodes are out and there's not even a faint clue of who the murderer might be. We have two vision boards but three lead characters with no vision.

The West Tower residents are hiding a lot of things. Despite the investigation in the third episode by Mabel and Charles(and their film actors), no evidence was found. Oliver isn't focussing on the case as he should (considering that Charles, one of them was a potential target) and he's rather busy thinking about the man whose arm rests on Loretta in one of the pictures she posted online. Just like Charles, Oliver is seen getting out of his element. He isn't thinking about the case at all and Oliver needs his enthusiasm back for us to catch the real culprit. Mabel is the only stable one and is the last hope of this case and the audience. I liked the Alzheimer's joke Oliver threw on Charles and it is jokes and references like these which are making the audience stay. The writers should keep in mind that at this pace the audience will stop watching the show.

The investigating trio goes to Concussions Bar aka The Stuntman Bar which was the same place where Sazz posted her last picture on social media. This place will form the basis for the upcoming episodes as some clues will be found and alliances will be made. The oldies (Charles and Oliver) are seen bribing the bartender with Lincoln’s (cash). There they meet an unexpected guest and Charles meets a chiropractor with whom’s help he gets to see Sazz again in the same dream but this time she's more injured. The West Tower residents also have a lot to tell yet, the question remains regarding whether they're speaking the truth or not. Looking at the growth of the show in the past two to three episodes, disappointment is hitting me in waves and I'm not positive about the outcome of this season of the show. Many new characters are introduced and the main characters aren't getting their due time.

Final Score – [5/10]
