The seventh episode of the fourth season of Only Murders in the Building begins with Mabel, Charles, and Oliver leaving their building. It's too unsafe for them as the killer has been tracking their moves and even got secret cameras installed in their apartments. The only choice left was to evade and the same was done. The next destination of choice was Charles's sister's place and Howard was told about their whereabouts by Mabel. This was a major mistake as everyone started turning up at that place including Bev, the actors, and Loretta. It's chaos and the spooky place is filled with dolls. There's no bed or sofa or any corner that doesn't have dolls. Doreen, Charles's sister is obsessed with them and it appears that she likes their company instead of humans.

The episode focuses on Doreen, Oliver, and Loretta. Everyone else has taken a backseat and with how overpopulated the house got, Mabel is busy looking for a place where she can solve the murder. One good thing happened and it's Loretta proposing to Oliver. These lovebirds are getting married and maybe now Oliver can focus on the bloodthirsty killer. Charles too got her relationship sorted with Doreen so, there's hope for him to join in the detective work as well. Many funny scenes are included in the show including a physical fight between Doreen and Loretta over Oliver.

This season has been too slow and it's not understandable why unnecessary scenes are being included. In this episode, a new character gets involved and I'm all in for a great cast and characters however at this point it appears that the murder investigation is taking the back seat. The total duration of this episode is 40 minutes and realistically speaking, only 5 minutes were allotted to who killed Sazz and Dudenoff. Another question that'll pop up in the minds of the audience is that since Sazz’s remains were with the Police, why weren't they able to conclude that there were two murders? It's not that the detective didn't share this information with the trio, since they're been working closely. There are so many things that didn't make sense and with just one episode remaining, I've lost my hopes for this season to be any good.

A major revelation comes at the end and it's about how the murderer was after the podcasters since the first episode. It seems like the trio has been in danger long before they imagined it to be. The movie adaptation of the crime podcast is also struggling just like the investigators. There are no major revelations and at this point, everything feels repetitious. Oliver is too stuck in his personal life, and he isn't focusing on the investigation. The same goes for Charles, he seemed tense and worried at the beginning and now he's nowhere to be seen. It's just Mabel who's focused on the case and the audience won't like this distraction. The actors who'll be playing the roles of our podcasters trio are more invested in the case than the podcasters themselves. If the season needs to come back, the last three episodes need to be powerful and thrilling.

Final Score – [5/10]
