Bob Odenkirk’s ‘Nobody 2’ Set to Begin Filming this Summer [Exclusive]

The sequel to one of the best action films is all set to begin filming this summer. Led by Bob Odenkirk, the sequel currently titled, Nobody 2 began pre-production two weeks back.

Nobody 2 will begin filming on August 6, 2024, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, and is currently scheduled to take 51 days to wrap up filming on September 27, 2024. Additionally, the film will take another 20 days to finish wrap-up activities on October 18, 2024.

Apart from Better Call Saul star Bob Odenkirk who leads the film as Hutch Mansell / "Nobody", Connie Nielsen is expected to reprise her role as Becca Mansell, Hutch's successful wife. Nielsen revealed in January 2024 that work on the sequel was still proceeding, while also confirming that she will reprise her part from the first film. Kelly McCormick officially confirmed the sequel in December 2022.

Nobody was a successful film that grossed $27.6 million in the US and Canada, and $29.9 million in other countries, for a global total of $57.5 million, against a production budget of $16 million. The film was praised for the action sequences and Odenkirk's performance.

Directed by Ilya Naishuller and written by Derek Kolstad, Nobody is an action thriller film released theatrically in the United States on March 26, 2021, and in the United Kingdom on June 9, 2021, by Universal Pictures.

'Nobody' follows Hutch Mansell, an underappreciated and neglected father and husband who accepts life's adversities and never fights back. A nobody. When two robbers steal into his suburban house one night, Hutch refuses to defend himself or his family, wanting to avoid major bloodshed. His teenage son, Blake, is disappointed in him, and his wife, Becca, appears to be pulling away even more. The aftermath of the tragedy ignites Hutch's long-simmering wrath, reawakening buried impulses and sending him on a terrible road that will reveal dark secrets and lethal abilities. In a torrent of punches, bullets, and screaming tires, Hutch must protect his family from a deadly opponent while also ensuring that he is never misjudged as a nobody again.

Nobody also stars Aleksei Serebryakov as Yulian Kuznetsov, RZA as Harry Mansell, Michael Ironside as Eddie Williams, Colin Salmon as The Barber, Christopher Lloyd as David Mansell, Billy MacLellan as Charlie Williams, Gage Munroe as Blake Mansell, Paisley Cadorath as Abby Mansell, Aleksandr Pal as Teddy Kuznetsov, and Araya Mengesha as Pavel among others.
