Whenever a TV show gets adapted into a full-blown movie, there are high chances that things might go south. But Call My Agent! The Movie isn’t that kind of movie. Bringing the ensemble cast of Call My Agent, aka Dix pour cent, the plot is set five years after the TV series. Andréa has moved beyond her days as a talent agent and is trying hard to reinvent herself as a film director. But soon enough, her ambitions collide with reality. When her film project begins to unravel, Andréa is forced to reconnect with her former colleagues, which brings the gang back. This reunion is what makes up the core of the film.  Familiar faces return, and so does the rivalry, which allows the story to recreate the comedy that people saw in the series.

This also becomes one of the greatest strengths of the film. The plot actually takes us in by showing what goes into the process of filmmaking. For example, some scenes show the troubled production, egos, schedules, money, and celebrities, and their thoughts collide. Additionally, the acting by the entire cast also works well in favor of the movie. However, even with all this, Call My Agent! The Movie sometimes feels dragged. There are some scenes that get stretched for no reason. They feel never-ending when, in reality, they could have been wrapped up so easily. This is where I wish the makers had paid some attention. It doesn’t suit a plot like this, which is supposed to be quick. I do understand that it is a requirement of the plot. But sometimes maybe it is wise to wrap up some scenes on time.

Other than that, the plot and the characters are well developed. It is, in no way, sabotaging the plot of the TV series, thankfully. By the end of the runtime, we do get to see how much the characters did evolve over time. That is one amazing thing. There is a greater sense of maturity that comes into them. The makers have also ensured that the very core of the TV show remains unchanged. Preserving that also means preserving the emotions of the fans that are attached to the original TV show.

When it comes to pacing, that area is slightly faltered. Just as some scenes get stretched for no reason, similarly the pacing in this event also got affected. Sometimes we can see that the plot moves at a fast pace and then again it slows down only to catch up the speed again. This on-and-off can be a bit annoying sometimes. However, if you fell in love with the plot, then I am sure this pacing is the last thing to bother you. Also, if you are a person with tons of patience, then pacing issues won't be your concern.

So all in all, I would say that even with some flaws, Call My Agent! The Movie works well because the makers never ever tried to change the very core of the plot. They simply borrowed it from the TV show and continued. That is a clever tactic of playing it safe with the emotions, which is why, if you are familiar with the plot, go ahead and watch.

Final Score- [7/10]
