‘Gen V’ Episode 6 Promo/Trailer Confirms Soldier Boy Return

The promo/trailer revealed by Amazon for Gen V Episode 6 shows the return of a fan-favorite actor and character from The Boys. And it's none other than Soldier Boy played by Jensen Ackles, who gets frozen at the end of the third season of The Boys. But before getting deeper into his return, let's see what sets up this return.

The fifth episode of Gen V saw some shocking revelations towards the end. Almost everyone was experiencing memory gaps and they were not able to figure out what was going on. In fact, Marie and Emma were unable to recognize Sam, with whom they spent a lot of time in the last episode.

Initially, everyone thought it was Rufus playing with them, so they tried to confront him. But at the end of the episode, a big shocking name comes up which makes everyone surprised. Cate has been clearing out their memories, but the reason behind this is yet to be known. Although Cate tries to explain herself to Andre that she has been doing it to make him forget all the bad things happening around him, nobody seems to be convinced.

The sixth episode will explore more about Cate's shocking secret along with the involvement of Rufus. The promo teases that the group of friends might go to a bigger length to get the truth out of Cate's mouth. Cate has a lot of explaining to do. The promo also teases the episode to have a much more action scenes along with confirming that at least one scene will involve Soldier Boy played by Jensen Ackles.

The return of Soldier Boy will also confirm the timeline of the Gen V series. Seeing the footage involving Soldier Boys, it's easy to guess that Gen V is likely to be set during the middle of the third season of The Boys. Soldier Boy is in his complete attire which could also mean that he could be seen in action along with these young supes. Soldier Boy's first look has definitely raised the excitement level of Episode 6, which is titled, "Jumanji."

In The Boys Season 3, Soldier Boy is revealed to be the father of Homelander, but in the finale, he calls Homelander - a disappointment. This led to a big fight between Soldier Boy and Homelander, but ultimately it was Butcher who fought him one-on-one with other members of the Boys joining him later. In the end, Maeve took him out through the window to avoid the impact of the major energy blast by Soldier Boy. At the end of the Season finale, Soldier Boy was frozen again and he is unlikely to return for The Boys Season 4 in a regular role.

Gen V follows the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they test their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries while contending for the school's top ranking at America's only college exclusively for young adult superheroes - Godolkin University (run by Vought International).
