Marvel Studios has revealed a new trailer for the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ during the Big Game, today at the Super Bowl. The highly anticipated final movie in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise will be released in theaters on May 5, 2023.
The trailer shows Guardians are back for a new adventure, however, things are not normal after the death of Gamora. The trailer teases the past of Rocket, confirming that the movie will show the backstory of this Marvel character. The trailer is full of action and funnier than I anticipated it to be. It gives us a detailed look at Chukwudi Iwuji's The High Evolutionary, who will be the main villain of the film. "My sacred mission is to create the perfect society," says the High Evolutionary in the trailer as Rocket teases his history by saying, "He didn't wanna make things perfect, he just hated things the way they are."
The trailer also gives a better look at Will Poulter's Adam Warlock, who can be seen fighting with Dave Bautista's Drax and attacking the Guardians. Adam Warlock seems to be following the orders of the High Evolutionary.
In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, our favorite band of misfits is looking a bit different these days. But it isn’t long before their lives are upended by the echoes of Rocket’s tumultuous past. Peter Quill, still mourning Gamora's death, must unite his crew around him on a dangerous mission to defend the universe and save Rocket’s life. A mission that, if not performed successfully, may spell the end of the Guardians as we know them.
James Gunn writes and directs Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which sees the return of Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Elizabeth Debicki, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, and Sean Gunn, with James Gunn returning as writer and director. Will Poulter is the new face, who is playing Adam Warlock. Chukwudi Iwuji and Reinaldo Faberlle have also joined the cast. Kevin Feige is the producer and Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Nikolas Korda, Simon Hatt, and Sara Smith serve as executive producers.
James Gunn has already confirmed that ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ will be the final movie in the GOTG series, marking the end of this colorful but weird team of the Guardians. He has also teased that one of the Guardians will die in this film. He has not revealed who will be this character, but rumor says it could be Dave Bautista's Drax.
The High Evolutionary dedicated his life to advancing human evolution to a level that could compete with the Beyonders. Rather than limiting his methods to his own subjects, he broadened his search and sought to remove impediments to his design by attacking evolutionary dead ends and aggressively acquiring resources for his master project. He recruited armored agents to carry out simultaneous raids around the world to assist in these tasks: Gatherers to identify and locate target groups and resources, Purifiers to suppress and neutralize targets, and heavily armed Eliminators to outright destroy opposing institutions. Despite his increasingly violent methods, the High Evolutionary saw himself as a benevolent god and believed that by sterilizing beings or removing their powers while avoiding killing them, he was being sufficiently merciful.
