A modernized spin-off to two huge blockbuster hits from the 2000s in Germany, this is how Netflix describes their upcoming German comedy film, Hard Feelings, for which they have already revealed one trailer (watch above). Originally titled, Hammerharte Jungs, ‘Hard Feelings’ will release on May 24, 2023, on Netflix, worldwide.
The film is about two best friends who try to make it through high school while dealing with embarrassing new urges and their very inconvenient feelings for each other.
Charly and Paula are struggling to find their position in the high school hierarchy, but they have each other and are great friends. But when his penis ("Willy") and her vagina ("Hoo-ha") start communicating their very urgent necessities, the youngsters must defend not only their academic standing but also their year-long friendship, as their genitals have much more in store for them. In the middle of cruel school intrigues and excessive parties, Charly and Paula uncover their natural urges - and come to realize that there may be more beauty to their bodies and more steam to their love than they first believed.
The German-language film, Hard Feelings is led by Tobias Schäfer as Charly, Cosima Henman as Paula, and Axel Stein as Rudolf. The movie also stars Vivien König as Francoise, Samirah Breuer as Marlene, Jasmin Shakeri as Rektorin Voigt, Doris Golpashin as Sabina, Lilly Joan Gutzeit as Leonie, and Merlin Sandmeyer as Herr Pendergast among others.
The teen-comedy ‘Hard Feelings’ is directed by Granz Henman.
