Celine Dion! The lady you are is breathtaking and it enlightens so many young souls to see that despite your condition, Stiff Person Syndrome, you've never let go of the fire inside you. She said at the end of the documentary that if plan A doesn't work then there'll always be a B and C, that is she can't run, she'll walk and if she's not able to walk then she'll crawl. Through her words and determination, this celebrity has let go of any filters and come as her honest self.

There's a scene in the documentary where we can see her undergoing a spasm and later a seizure. Throughout the documentary, her love and passion for music is seen to make her eyes teary and in the scene where she's shown having a seizure, her journey flashes and comes back all at once. The audience feels pity for her and the unabashed brave face she'd put for this scene to be recorded seems volume. The celebrated singer has numerous great values which can only be seen in a few celebrities.

She's stated that she's sorry for not being able to perform at the shows which had to be cancelled later on due to her condition. There's nothing she loves more than music and people hence, when she recorded the video stating the reasons behind the cancellation we see pure devotion and passion in those eyes which crave for the audience who used to sway and hum at her concerts.

Celine Dion’s words and statements not only hit your soul, they get embedded in your system and it's her never-dulling passion that made this documentary a great hit. I think everyone should give their precious time and watch her journey through the lens of this documentary. You won't regret a second spent on I Am: Celine Dion as the majestic years of her experience have got a lot to teach you.

There are many lessons you can grab like how to be humble. She said, “If you wanna go fast, you go alone. And if you wanna go far, go together” in reference to how she always respected her band members. Also the line, “I walk the shoe. The shoe doesn't walk to me.” hits at a different level.

I regret that I didn't know much about her earlier and hope that through this documentary people come to know about her. It's not easy being in a physical state that doesn't allow you to live for the talent through which you saw the world and though this is not the end of Celine, I wish she comes back stronger than ever.

There are not many documentaries that justify their existence. This one shows Celine Dion‘s struggles and triumphs, thus delivering the fact that life has both good and bad sides and you should be able to perform at each beat.

Final Score – [8.5/10]
