When I started watching Just Alice, I couldn’t believe the plot I was watching. The show starts with Alice's chaotic life. She is supposed to get married and has just landed. Now, she has to pick up her dress, do her makeup, and get ready all in 3 hours before the wedding. Everything seems fine until you realize that this is her second marriage. And that is fine too. But she is getting married for the second time while being married to her author husband, who is perfectly alive. Now, the next question you may ask: Does her first husband know? Obviously, no, and that is what the whole plot is about. It is not that her relationship with her first husband, Alejo, is any bad. He loves her and openly talks about her in his latest book, too. But she loves him and her second husband, a former priest named Pablo. Both husbands are oblivious to their wives’ marriages. And we can already see how it is taking a toll on Alice as she struggles to juggle between both worlds. On the one hand, to be present for her second wedding, she skips the launch session of her first husband’s latest book. On the other hand, she doesn’t spend the first night of her wedding with her new husband, as she has to rush back to her first husband. But the question that arises is, who is she really in love with? She claims both. The stakes are high, and so are the risks. This double marriage can break the lives of the two men with whom she is married.

The show is funny without a doubt, and even though you question the plot, you ultimately give in and watch the drama unfold. I don’t know why the makers chose such a story or what they wanted to show us from it. There is no case of being a gold digger here, either on the part of Alice. So the idea and thought process behind this plot is a mystery to us. Other than that, there is comedy, drama, and steam to watch out for. At first, I did right off, but later the show unfolded as a big gossip drama for the viewers. This makes the entire thing worth a watch. Yes, the plot shouldn’t have been extended for 19 episodes. While it does move at a good pace, somewhere the makers dragged it a bit too much for it to be 19 episodes long.

All in all, if you want to watch something spicy, tune into the chaotic life of Alice and see her get into self-invited trouble. This will force you to think, can someone be in love with two people at the same time? Is it so hard to let go of one love that she ended up getting married for the second time? Some questions will never really have an answer. That is for sure. And maybe you will gain clarity about Alice’s mind when you watch the show. It may not be the best you will watch, but it has enough to keep you entertained for some time.

Final Score- [6/10]
