‘Locke & Key’ Season 2 Trailer Shows New Magical Keys Being Forged

Netflix has revealed the first full-length trailer for “Locke & Key” Season 2. Created by Carlton Cuse and Meredith Averill, the second season will arrive on October 22 on Netflix.

The trailer shows new magical Keys getting forged, which will unlock many new secrets of the Locke family. The trailer begins with Nina Locke saying, "My husband died last year. And I moved my kids to the house where he grew up. The kids, they are doing great. But I can't move on from things that still make no sense to me." "Just because we figured out
a few of the keys, we think we know everything," says Bode to his siblings. Tyler replies, "We don't know everything, but we know that Dodge is gone."

The series has already been renewed for the third season by Netflix and has already wrapped up production.

In the finale of the first season, Dodge attacked the Keyhouse in search of the Omega Key - the oldest key in existence, with the potential to unlock the Black Door, a portal to another dimension. Tyler and Kinsey with the support of their friends were able to send Dodge back through the Black Door, but they were wrong as the person was not Dodge. Meanwhile, Kinsey begins dating Gabe, but Gabe has been revealed to be Dodge all along, having used the Identity Key a second time to disguise herself. 

Season 2 will follow the aftermath of Dodge's disguise and will see Eden being possessed by something evil that came through the black door when she was hit by the demonic bullet.

Brendan Hines will be a new face in season 2 of Locke & Key, he will play Josh Bennett, a charismatic and mysterious new history teacher at Matheson Academy with a secret agenda. Also, Aaron Ashmore and Hallea Jones will appear as regulars in season 2. Ashmore portrays Duncan Locke - a Locke family member, and Jones plays Eden Hawkins. Liyou Abere will be a guest star in season two, he will play Amie Bennett, a spirited 11-year-old who becomes fast friends with Bode and an ally against the evil forces threatening the Lockes.

The first season of the show was premiered in February 2020 and received a positive response from both the critics and the audience. Locke & Key is based on the comic books by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodríguez.
