This was one of the features and most intriguing docuseries I have ever watched. It is informative and a must-watch for women. So without wasting time, here’s what happens: we see Cecillie and Brianne collecting evidence against men who have conned women for money by being in a relationship with them. For example, the first story we witness is about Todd Dean.  Todd Dean, who identifies himself as the founder and CEO of a wellness foundation named Sanjara. Now this is perfectly fine, but in order to build Sanjara, he uses vulnerable women who have gone through a messy breakup or a divorce because of a relationship with them. He flatters them with good behavior, which acts as a comfort. But once he starts winning their trust, he asks them for money in the name of Sanjara. And these women, since they are emotionally dependent on him, start giving the money to him until they realize it’s a scam. We see how Cecillie was one of his victims, and once conned, she wanted to get her money back. But in order to do so, she needed more evidence. So she contacts her friend Brianne, who then starts collecting information about him. Soon, they stumble on Jill, who lent her life savings to Todd in the name of Sanjara.

Jill was under the impression that Sanjara would help people since she herself was dealing with the loss of her mother. She was brave enough to let her story be out in public. When she reached out to the police, they said that they could not look into the case as it was a civil matter. Jill was one of the most important links to Todd. Soon, Brinanne and Cecillie come across his former personal assistant, Sheena, who straight up tells them that, according to her, Sanjara is a scam and Todd is actually scamming the so-called investors who put their money here. Soon they realized that there were many women whom Todd used in order to secure investments and use them for their personal use.

Later on, Brainne and Cecillie take on a case of an army veteran named Ricky, who also scammed women for money. Like many women, Ricky’s victim, Bridget, was divorced and had been single for two years. They matched on a dating app, fell in love, and moved in. However, here’s the catch. Ricky was saved by Clarence, who lost his life, and thus Ricky wanted to give money to his wife and children. And soon after taking money from Bridget, he ran off. So these women put on their detective caps to solve this case and find evidence. The rest of the docuseries is based on the same format, but each of them is conducted by different kinds of men. One may be conned by her husband while the other is conned by a former athlete.

All in all, this is a great docuseries for women in particular. It teaches us to be more vigilant. When we watch it, we can see the possible red flags that are already around. If looked into carefully, there have been issues with these relationships. They appear to be very fishy. What I absolutely loved was the fact that these victims came forward to tell us their share of wrongdoings. In spite of being in debt, in spite of all the wrongs that have happened to them, they are still willing to fight for justice. At one point, I genuinely felt bad for them, too. Having experienced a big heartbreak and in some cases a tragic loss of a family member, this is a big setback again. As it is, it isn’t easy to trust someone, and now this.

Another thing is that the documentary is fast-paced. All these cases are shown to us one after the other, spanning six episodes. But not once will you feel bored. So that is a big plus point. With camera recordings and pictures of their happier times, we see how evidence is gathered and a fight for justice is being put up. It shows us the dark side of dating and dating apps.

Final Score- [8/10]
