Over the past few weeks, I regularly talked about the show's progress, which doesn't seem to be moving forward. The eighth episode is not a very big improvement, but it does have a few moments that may bring back a bit of excitement in future episodes and connect a few dots.

Episode 8 begins with Boyd taking away Fatima from the crime scene and hiding her in the woods. In the last episode, Fatima stabbed Tillie and killed her. As soon as someone spots the dead body of Tillie, the news of her murder spreads through to the town and the Colony House. Boyd not only hides Fatima but also hides the fact that she killed Tillie from everyone in the town. This seems to be something we have already seen happening with Sara in the first season when Boyd flew her into the woods.

After finding out the murder of Tillie, everyone in the town is angry and looking for the murderer or a potential one. A lot of them start pointing towards Sara who has previously committed a couple of murders. The angry towners are heading towards Sara's house who has no idea what's coming.

Ethan returned from the forest along with Tabitha and Jim. Julie takes Ethan to a place with ruins in the woods where she went with Randall in the previous episode. As soon as Julie enters the place, she finds herself in the dungeon where the old man is nailed to the wall. We have seen this old man in the previous season and how he helped Boyd escape the well. One of the mysteries from the previous season was that we didn't know who threw the rope in the well, by the help of which Boyd rescued himself as the old man was nailed to the wall, so it was certainly not him. It was Julie who dropped the rope into the well after the old man asked her to. It seems Julie's spirit was teleported to this place where the rules of time and space don't apply. Anyway, she is also about to see her mother Tabitha, but Ethan with the help of Kenny and Acosta drags her out from the ruins and she comes back to the real world.

Meanwhile, Victor is going all out to make Jasper talk. He even forces Sara to play the role of Christopher so that Jasper responds, but nothing seems to working, Soon Tabitha joins to help but that also doesn't work. However, when they all go to the church, Victor remembers something - It wasn't Jasper with whom Christopher was talking, but it was the boy in the white who was guiding him about the portals in the trees.

While in the town, Boyd and Ellis are worried about how to protect Fatima, and Elgin is on the way to do some devil's work. Somehow Elgin manages to find Fatima hidden away deep in the woods. He convinces her that Ellis has sent him to help her out and take her to a new place. Fatima goes along with him only to find her near the town in the secret basement that Elgin found a few days ago. Seems like Elgin was not letting anyone know about his secret endeavors and intentions. Elgin reveals Fatima is carrying the Ghost lady's baby and she needs to be locked in the basement until the baby comes out.

The eighth episode finally reveals a few mysteries which in return have increased the excitement. We finally see an episode where something finally seems to be happening. With only two episodes left in this season, we expect FROM to continue the trend of this episode and give more answers than creating fresh mysteries.

Final Score - [7/10]
