Sony Pictures India has revealed a couple of new short trailers for the upcoming Marvel movie, "Morbius." Both the trailers contain fresh footage teasing exciting new possibilities.
In the first trailer (watch above), Dr. Michael Morbius is getting success in finding the cure for his disease, but it didn't work exactly as he thought. He says, "There is something inside me that wants to consume blood." Before the trailer ends Morbius mocks a man saying, "I am Venom," but quickly clarifies, "I'm just kidding. it's Doctor Michael Morbius."
The second trailer (watch at the bottom of this article) teases the main villain of the film, who could be Milo played by Matt Smith. Milo is a childhood friend of Morbius, who suffers from the same rare blood disease.
Starring Jared Leto who takes on the role of Living Vampire, Dr. Michael Morbius, the film will release in theaters on April 1, worldwide.
Based on the comic books created by Roy Thomas and Gil Kane in 1971, the antagonist’s origin story follows Michael Morbius (Leto), a biochemist in search of a cure for his rare blood disease, and determined to save others suffering the same fate as he attempts a desperate gamble. He accidentally injects himself with vampirism, giving him bat-like superpowers like echo-location and an insatiable thirst for blood. While at first, it seems to be a radical success, the darkness inside him is unleashed.
After Spider-Man: No Way Home, Morbius is also riding on a hype surrounded by a few rumors. Andrew Garfield has been rumored for a cameo in this film, which may confirm Garfield's Spider-Man existence in this universe. Also, it will make sense as this trailer mentions Rhino, who was part of The Amazing Spider-Man movie starring Garfield. Black Cat is also mentioned in a newspaper in the previous trailer.
Sony Pictures is currently expanding its Universe Of Marvel Characters. The company has announced Madame Webb's movie, which is likely to include Spider-Man as well. Currently, Kraven the Hunter movie is set to start production this month and will release in January 2023.
