Countless lives lost, including Maria Hill, evoke a somber funeral scene and global leaders grappling with the crisis. Among these leaders, unbeknownst to the world, are Skrulls, including Gravik. In a clandestine council, Gravik is appointed Skrull General, with unanimous agreement from the other members. Yet, Shirley, a lone dissenter, manages to leave unscathed, contacting Talos with vital information.

Meanwhile, Gravik's plan seems to bear fruit as the world now believes the United States was responsible for the bombing. Rhodey, tasked with damage control, finds himself at odds with Fury. Earlier in the episode, Talos's revelation sent shockwaves through his and Fury’s alliance: a million Skrulls are living disguised among humans on Earth. Thus, Fury had reached out to Rhodey, recognizing the urgent need for collaboration in the face of a much larger problem. However, still furious over the bombing, Rhodey dismisses Fury from his position. But true to his tenacious nature, Fury escapes, proving that age hasn't dulled his fight.
