With Warner Bros. taking Christopher Nolan’s Tenet‘s from July 17 to July 31, this decision has also pushed a number of other movies on the 2020 schedule to deeper in the calendar including Warner Bros. own movies.

STX is now moving its Gerard Butler-Morena Baccarin action movie Greenland off that date to Aug. 14. That’s where Wonder Woman 1984 was standing before it jumped to October 2nd.

Universal/Amblin’s ‘Bios’ starring Tom Hanks is moving off from its earlier release date of Oct. 2 after Warner Bros. plopped Wonder Woman 1984 on that new date, and will now go on April 16, 2021. Universal already had April 16 on hold with untitled event movie.

Already on that date is the Warner Bros. Lisa Joy-directed sci-fi film 'Reminiscence' which stars Hugh Jackman, Thandie Newton and Rebecca Ferguson.
Bios‘ departure from Oct. 2 leaves Paramount’s Tom Clancy movie Without Remorse standing next to Wonder Woman 1984.

Warner Bros. has pushed Matrix 4, which currently paused production in Berlin but might restart next month from May 21, 2021, to April 1, 2022.

Legendary’s Godzilla vs. Kong no longer will go on Nov. 20 this year, instead will take over Matrix 4‘s original May 21 date.

Robert Zemeckis’ feature adaptation of Roald Dahl’s Witches is unset in 2021 for the time being, no longer going on Oct. 9. Witches leaves behind 20th Century Studios’ Kenneth Branagh movie Death on the Nile and Paramount’s expansion of Aaron Sorkin’s The Trial of the Chicago 7.

Bill & Ted Face the Music will now arrive one week early on August 14 instead of Aug 21 after the space got vacated by Wonder Woman 1984.

Warner Bros. cartoon action hybrid Tom & Jerry moves off Dec. 23 and heads to March 5, 2021.

Now, Disney’s “Mulan” will be the first major film to reignite moviegoing when it debuts on July 24. Before that, two low budget movies — Russell Crowe’s thriller “Unhinged” from Solstice Studios and Sony’s romance drama “The Broken Hearts Gallery” — are slated to launch in theaters on July 10. Since those films are both modestly budgeted, they give theater owners the opportunity to show fresh content on the big screen with less of a risk for their financial backers.
