Amazon’s blood-filled and action-packed superhero series “The Boys” has added three new actors to the cast of Season 3 including Sean Patrick Flanery who will be playing Gunpowder. All three actors will be playing three recurring characters in the upcoming season.

Other than Flanery, we have Miles Gaston Villanueva from "Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders," who will play Supersonic. Nick Wechsler from Rosewell is portraying Blue Hawk.

Gunpowder played by Flanery is a very close resemblance to Judge Dredd's appearance. Gunpowder is a member of the teenage superhero team "Teenage Kix" in the Boys universe. In his spare time, he is into guns and bondage, usually at the same time. At one point his team catches the attention of Butcher and the Boys. In the comic-book series, Butcher returns as an anti-superhero team and picks the Teenage Kix as the first group to be made an example out of. Blackmailing the team with damaging and immoral activities and behavior, the Teenage Kix are required to sacrifice a member of their team to avoid all the groups' secretive actions being made public. Gunpowder avoids being outed as he brings in an abundant amount of money through NRA endorsements. When the Homelander of the Seven recognizes Butcher's design all over the blackmailing, he alerts Teenage Kix to who was manipulating them.

Miles Gaston Villanueva is playing Supersonic, who is also a completely new character to the series. He is said to be the ex-boyfriend of Starlight and he was introduced by Starlight's mom.

Blue Hawk, who is played by Nick Wechsler, is a new character or a modified character of Ground Hawk from the comics. Ground Hawk is an original member of a superhero team, G-Men. Although not the most powerful, founded by the wealthy entrepreneur John Godolkin, the G-Men are the most profitable superhero team, with multiple other teams associated with the franchise. As such they are highly valued by Vought. Ground Hawk has got two hammers instead of hands, this is considered a great difficulty for him as he can't grab things.

We already have a lot of hints about the third season of the Boys, which will include the Herogasm plot and Jensen Ackles's character Soldier Boy. Season 3 build-up is getting even stronger than of season 2, with creator Eric Kripke teasing controversial plots and more x-rated stories. Season 3 Episode 1 is named "Payback," which has been written by Craig Rosenberg, who has so far written two episodes in each of the seasons of The Boys.

The Boys season 3 is currently in production in Toronto and each of the new actors will join the show’s new season.

All the series regulars including Karl Urban, Anthony Starr, Jack Quaid, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchell, Erin Moriarty, and Claudia Doumit are returning for season 3.
