One of the major surprises of this year was the return of Vincent D'Onofrio in the iconic role of Kingpin in MCU's Hawkeye series at Disney Plus. Now, the actor has expressed his desire to do more of this character in the upcoming MCU projects.

After impressing the fans by perfectly portraying the Marvel villain in Netflix Daredevil Series, the actor was always wanted for more. Now, these fans should breathe easy as the actor also wants the same - to do more Kingpin and Wilson Fisk in the Marvel projects. In an interview on Sarah O'Connell Show, the actor said that Kingpin is mainly tied with Punisher, Daredevil, and Spider-Man in the comics. But he would like to go against Spider-Man and wants it as much as everybody else.

Vincent was asked if he would love to interact with any other characters from the MCU - teaming up or going against. “All of them,” the actor replied. “You know I mean, it’s obvious that Punisher, Daredevil, and Spider-Man are the ones that my character is tied to in the comic books. But you know there’s plenty of room for others. I can just only hope that happens. But I mean, Spider-Man definitely, I think that would be really fun.” When asked if he would love to go against Spider-Man as a villain in Spider-Man 4, He said, “I don't know, I want it as much as everybody does, so we’ll see.”

In the same interview, the actor also confirmed that he hasn't officially signed any other projects after Hawkeye, but he is hoping to get a call very soon. Vincent D'Onofrio is expected to return in MCU's Echo series following the events of the Hawkeye finale where he was shot by Maya, but it was never shown if he is dead or alive.

The character of Kingpin has also appeared in the Sony animated movie, "Spider-Man Into the Spiderverse" as the main villain, where he battled against Miles Morales in the conclusion of the film.

In the comics, Kingpin has a long history of fighting against Spider-Man. In the 1980s, The Black Cat (who was dating Spider-Man at the time) sought out Kingpin and became anxious that her lack of abilities would make her a liability to him. He consequently arranged for scientists on his payroll to bestow defensive "bad luck" powers on her, causing misfortune on anyone who tries to attack her in combat while also hurting and finally killing anyone who lingers too close to her for too long. The Kingpin hoped that this would result in Spider-Man's death, but Spider-Man and the Black Cat eventually broke up. Fisk was attacked shortly after by Spider-Man. Fisk eventually had his scientists construct the supervillains the Answer and the Spot to confront Spider-Man and the Black Cat to keep them from interfering with his activities any further.

However, in the later comics, Daredevil and Echo were the main opponents of Kingpin, and Peter Parker's Spider-Man was forgotten by Kingpin as all the public memories of Peter's Spider-Man were removed.

If Kingpin becomes a villain in Spider-Man 4, it will be interesting to see how that happens.
