Chun-Yang Lin is the series' director, and the story revolves around a group of campaign workers who are attempting to survive and get by in the competitive political environment. There are 8 episodes, each with a runtime of roughly 45 to 50 minutes.

The series' strength lies in its exploration of the complex web of relationships between the media, politicians, and the general public. The story is intricately woven, with numerous plot twists and turns that keep viewers on the edge of their seats. The characters are well-drawn and multi-dimensional, with each one representing a different perspective on the issues at hand. A group of campaigners tries to survive in the competitive part of society and help their candidates win during tense elections. However, it is not that simple because everyone in the industry is extremely conceited and driven by success. The members of the circle are extremely unhelpful and won't help anyone if it doesn't benefit them. The majority female cast of Wave Makers is one noteworthy aspect. Both political candidates and the majority of the key figures are female. The only prominent guys in the drama are Chao, Chen Chia-ching (Huang), Weng's immediate boss, and Yi-an (Devin Pan Gang-da), Ya-ching's teammate.

As the series progresses, Chao's shortcomings become a central plot point, but Chen's domestic problems are also important. The character and his circumstances are obviously sympathetic in the show, but his family comes across as significantly less so.

The cast has performed brilliantly. Weng Wen-fang adapts to her new position in politics after losing an election. A well-known politician becomes involved in a rumor about an animal assault, and Chang Ya-ching's clever campaign idea causes her unanticipated problems. Chen Chia-ching finds it difficult to combine his family and career when Yue-chen is confronted with some difficult questions during a public speech as a fresh subject takes over the news cycle.

Tsai Yi-an must choose between his ideals and his work as soon as Ya-ching is under increasing pressure as a result of a formal complaint made against a dishonest co-worker. Inquisitive about her father's secrets, Jung-chih becomes. Wen-fang learns about a sad past from Ya-ching. Lin Yue-chen is faced with a surprising revelation and must make a difficult choice. Ya-ching tells Wen-fang of a dark history. Unexpected information forces Lin Yue-chen to make a challenging decision. Wen-fang's team is rushing to find a suspicious viral post while a negligent Ya-ching is frantically trying to conceal a damaging secret. Chao Chang-tse struggles desperately to limit the repercussions while embroiled in a scandal. Ya-ching resolves to make a brave move after gathering her courage.

According to the show's teaser, the main character will be a political leader's employee who will stop at nothing to ensure the candidate's victory. She encounters numerous obstacles along the road, though, as her adversaries make every effort to bring her down. She is, however, a feisty woman who will use any means necessary to accomplish her objective. Her team is behind her, and they work together to find solutions to any issues that arise. Her team is behind her, and they work together to find solutions to any issues that arise.

The main conflict will be between the two major parties as they compete for the support of the electorate and the right to rule. They come across a woman whose opinions and worldview are utterly at odds with those of the current political system while looking for a suitable candidate. However, it is the team's responsibility to persuade her to join their celebration. It will be fascinating to see how the plot develops and how these changes impact the characters significantly.

Even though it may be melodramatic and simple, Wave Makers is able to celebrate democracy while also highlighting the issues with populist politics, all the while effectively entertaining its audience with the same sensationalist tabloid trickery that its characters so adamantly criticize.

Overall, "Wave Makers" is a thought-provoking and engaging political drama that will leave viewers thinking long after the credits roll. It offers a powerful commentary on the state of politics and the media in contemporary society and is a must-see for anyone interested in these issues.

Final Score- [7/10]
