IFC Films has revealed the first trailer for the World War II thriller movie, ‘Burial.’ Starring Tom Felton and Charlotte Vega, the movie will release in theaters and VOD on September 2, 2022.
The trailer shows the tension on the rise as a group of soldiers are tasked with carrying the remains of Hitler. But as they approach their destination, they are ambushed by Nazis.
Written and directed by Ben Parker, 'Burial' is set in the final days of WWII and follows the story of a small band of Russian soldiers led by intelligence officer Brana Vasilyeva who are tasked with bringing Hitler's remains back to Stalin in Russia. On the way, the battalion is ambushed and picked off one by one by German 'Werwolf' partisans. Brana leads her surviving comrades in the final stand to prevent their 'cargo' from falling into the hands of those who want to see it buried in order to cover up the truth forever.
The film stars Harry Potter star Tom Felton, Charlotte Vega as Brana, Barry Ward, Bill Milner, Harriet Walter, Dan Renton Skinner, and Niall Murphy. Diana Rigg was also supposed to star in the film before her untimely death and she was replaced by Harriet Walter.
The filming took place in Estonia last year. It's an escape and survival mission that combines the thrill and suspense of Green Room and Don’t Breathe.
‘Werewolf’ was a Nazi plan, which began development in 1944, to create a resistance force that would operate behind enemy lines as the Allies advanced through Germany. Ultimately, Werwolf's propaganda value far outweighed its actual achievements.
Recently, Tom Felton appeared in the war drama ‘The Forgotten Battle,’ a dutch movie about three young people set around the Battle of the Scheldt, the film will be released this month.
