Bella Thorne has joined Aaron Eckhart in the action-thriller movie "Rumble Through the Dark," which began production in the last week of July. The character she will be playing in the movie is still unknown.

“Rumble Through the Dark” is set in the dark environment of the Mississippi Delta, where a former bare-knuckle fighter (Eckhart) must win one ultimate fight to pay off his debts to the local mob boss and save his childhood home — the stakes are nothing short of life and death. The film is based on, “The Fighter,” a novel by Oxford author Michael Farris Smith.

Bella Thorne is an actor, model and influencer, who is best known for her role on Disney Channel’s “Shake It Up,” “The Babysitter,” and its sequel, “The Babysitter: Killer Queen” at Netflix. She recently starred in “Paradise City” TV Series on Amazon Prime that came out in March 2021, and more recently also appears in the U.S. indie title “Masquerade,” released online last month, and “Time Is Up” scheduled for release next month.

Smith is adapting his novel and writing the screenplay. Graham Phillips & Parker Phillips (The Bygone), who head Phillips Pictures based in New York City and Los Angeles are directing the movie. At the Virtual Cannes Market, Foresight Unlimited will present the film to foreign buyers. Cassian Elwes of Elevated is producing and will represent the picture in the United States alongside CAA Media Finance.

Elwes is co-producing for the Crooked Letter Picture Company with Cleta Ellington. Executive producers include Foresight's Mark Damon and Tamara Birkemoe, Crooked Letter Picture Company's Tate Taylor and John Norris, and Jere Hausfater.
