The series might be apt for a medical aspirant but in general, it is not made for either entertainment or education. The title of the series too isn’t apt as there’s no rhythm of life in the lives of doctors. The golden image of a happy and stable life of doctors is a myth, and the same is shown to some extent.
Some things like respecting your seniors are still alive in the medical field and the same is shown between Reena and the other four new doctors with their seniors. Dr. Radhi’s specialization wasn’t clear and she can be seen looking at and supervising the majority of cases. Her methods were far too rough like asking Reena to do fifty squats as she was late.
Such practices in medical culture are rarely seen and this was the only thing that didn’t make any sense including how the blood bag fell on the floor and spilled. This usually doesn’t happen and those who’ve seen blood bags in reality will know. Other than that you can see how the X-ray technician wore a lead apron. The series is a simple one with just four episodes, each being 20 to 25 minutes long.
Undoubtedly, the show is boring and could have learned a few things from good medical shows like Grey’s Anatomy. The recent rise in series made upon the doctors highlights the interests people have in their lives.
This Tamil medical drama, directed by Deepak Sundarrajan is said to be a medical comedy, but it’ll hardly make the audience laugh or smile. Showing behind the scenes what happens in a hospital, they started with a good topic. In the first episode, we saw how Radhi didn’t have the time to pay attention to her kids reflecting the lack of personal time doctors have. It truly is a stressful life where one has to endure many things.
The five new joiners are shown to be working at RK Hospital and battling their challenges. The fans of this genre will get disappointed and seeing how they made short episodes, some raw and crisp content could have been added.
Heart Beat: Rhythm of Life becomes stale because of its poor script as the actors can be seen doing their best. Maybe the touch was lost due to dubbing still, I couldn’t find any humor. The best scene in the entire show is the one in which the seniors ragged the new joiners by misinforming them about a professor.
Final Score – [5/10]
