Prime Video has revealed a new trailer for the fourth season of The Boys at the inaugural CCXP México that shows brutal action with blood-filled scenes. ‘The Boys’ Season 4 will be released on June 13, 2024, with the first three episodes, followed by a new episode each week, ending with the epic season finale on Thursday, July 18, 2024.
Butcher is dying. The trailer shows that Butcher doesn't have much time left, and he needs to sort out his supes issue before he finally rests. The new trailer confirms that Season 4 will be set in the aftermath of Gen V Season 1 which ended up with Butcher finding out the virus that can wipe out the supes. The trailer shows Butcher is actually considering using that virus in the desperation of the limited time he has been left with. Jeffrey Dean Morgan's character seems to be fuelling Butcher's anger against the supes while Starlight and other members of the Boys ask him to rethink and calm down. The trailer teases the fourth season to have much more action and gruesome scenes than any other previous season.
In Season 4 of The Boys, The world is on the verge. Victoria Neuman is getting closer to the Oval Office and is under the strict supervision of Homelander, who is solidifying his position. Butcher, with just months to live, has lost both Becca's son and his position as The Boys' leader. The rest of the crew is fed up with his falsehoods. With more at stake than ever, the Boys and Butcher must find a way to work together and save the planet before it's too late.
The Boys Season 4 picks up a few months after the third season, with Annie January aka Starlight (Erin Moriarty) working with the Boys as she adapts to making a difference without her superhero alter-ego. Hughie (Jack Quaid) will have some family drama as his mother reappears in his life, but could this impact his relationship with Annie to progress? It seems right that Marvin Milk, aka MM or Mother’s Milk, would take the role of leader for the boys while Frenchie and Kimiko explore other relationships. The penultimate season is set to focus on the Boys instead of the superheroes.
Season Three of The Boys stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Colby Minifie, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchell, Claudia Doumit, and Jensen Ackles. Season 4 new additions include Valorie Curry as Firecracker, Susan Heyward as Sister Sage, Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Joe Kessler, Derek Wilson as Tek Knight, Dan Mousseau as Webweaver, Rosemarie DeWitt, Rob Benedict, Omid Abtahi, and Elliot Knight.
The Boys is based on the New York Times best-selling comic by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, who also serve as executive producers, and was created by executive producer and showrunner Eric Kripke. Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Phil Sgriccia, Michaela Starr, Paul Grellong, David Reed, Meredith Glynn, Judalina Neira, Ken F. Levin, and Jason Netter are also executive producers. Sony Pictures Television, Amazon MGM Studios, Kripke Enterprises, Original Film, and Point Grey Pictures collaborated to produce The Boys.
