Gen V Season 2 just wrapped up filming yesterday and now The Boys is getting ready for its final outing with the cast. The complete filming schedule for the fifth season has been officially revealed and as rumored, it will begin its final journey in November this year.

As per the schedule, ‘The Boys’ Season 5 will begin filming on November 25, 2024, in Toronto, Canada, and will take exactly seven months to officially wrap up the production on June 25, 2025. The show is currently casting new faces as part of the show's final outing. Philip Sgriccia will return to direct a few episodes.

The showrunner and the ending of the fourth season have already confirmed the return of Jensen Ackles' Soldier Boy as a series regular. Even though the fifth season is the final season, Soldier Boy will return in the new spinoff series, ‘Vought Rising,’ which is expected to go into production later next year. Snowpiercer star Daveed Diggs will be the new face joining the cast in the fifth season.

It has already been revealed that ‘The Boys’ Season 5 will be released sometime in 2026 if everything goes as currently planned. However, the fans won't have to wait for Season 5 to know what exactly is going on after the devastating ending of the fourth season. Gen V Season 2 wrapped up filming this Friday and is expected to premiere in Spring or early Summer 2025. The show has its own identity but like the first season, it will again act as a bridge between the fourth and the fifth season of The Boys. Many characters from Gen V including Cate appeared in the Season 4 finale and played small but significant and impactful roles.

Meanwhile, Showrunner Eric Kripke has teased a lot of deaths in the final season of the show. He told in an interview, “There’s no guarantee of who’s gonna survive because we don’t have to keep them for another season, so you can have really shocking, big things happen all the time, and so, as the writers, as we’re starting to cook it up, we’re really enjoying that.”

In the final episode of Season 4, Homelander reveals Neuman's real identity on Live TV, and after a failed assassination attempt and a threatening phone call from Homelander, she decides to take her daughter and flee the country. Neuman calls Hughie to ask for his help, and he obliges. However, things didn't go as planned as Butcher makes an unexpected appearance and completely butchers Neuman into tiny pieces with his newly found supe-crushing powers. Ashley injects herself with Compound V, Sister Sage takes the credit for everything and walks away with a mischievous, vengeful look in her eyes, and Homelander looks at Soldier Boy's body during the post-credits scene. Even characters from Gen V make an appearance before the end credits.

In Season 4 of The Boys, The world is on the verge. Victoria Neuman is getting closer to the Oval Office and is under the strict supervision of Homelander, who is solidifying his position. Butcher, with just months to live, has lost both Becca's son and his position as The Boys' leader. The rest of the crew is fed up with his falsehoods. With more at stake than ever, the Boys and Butcher must find a way to work together and save the planet before it's too late.

The Boys stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Erin Moriarty, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Colby Minifie, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchell, Claudia Doumit, and Jensen Ackles. Season 4 new additions include Valorie Curry as Firecracker, Susan Heyward as Sister Sage, Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Joe Kessler, Derek Wilson as Tek Knight, Dan Mousseau as Webweaver, Rosemarie DeWitt, Rob Benedict, Omid Abtahi, and Elliot Knight.

Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson also serve as executive producers and it is developed by executive producer and showrunner Eric Kripke. Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Phil Sgriccia, Michaela Starr, Ken F. Levin, Paul Grellong, David Reed, Judalina Neira, Jessica Chou, and Jason Netter also serve as EPs. Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Television co-produce The Boys, together with Kripke Enterprises, Original Film, and Point Grey Pictures.
