The pre-production on the fifth and final season of The Boys started last month and now we can officially reveal the complete filming schedule for Amazon's hit series. The show is yet to be officially renewed for the fifth season by Amazon, but we have already revealed Season 5 renewal news in an exclusive article last year. Later, showrunner Eric Kripke also confirmed that the fourth season won't be the last in a tweet.

The Boys Season 5 will begin filming on April 8, 2024, in Toronto, Canada, and will take around five months to officially wrap on August 22, 2024. The duration of the filming may seem a bit shorter than usual, but as per the present info, we can confirm that it is for The Boys Season 5 and not Gen V Season 2. From another source, the second season of Gen V is also likely to film along with Season 5 just a month or two late. Once we get more info on the Gen V Season 2 production schedule, we will reveal it.

The Boys Season 4 is due to premiere in June 2024 and the first teaser trailer has already been revealed by Prime Video. The fourth season will be a direct follow-up to the first season of Gen V while also picking up the story in the aftermath of Season 3. In the mid-credit scene of the Gen V season finale, Billy Butcher can be seen investigating the ruins of the Woods lab under Goldolkin University. The Woods was completely empty as Cate and Sam had already released all the captives, but that doesn't stop Butcher to say, "What a bunch of cunts," as he appears from the dark with a torch.

In Season 4 of The Boys, The world is on the verge. Victoria Neuman is getting closer to the Oval Office and is under the strict supervision of Homelander, who is solidifying his position. Butcher, with just months to live, has lost both Becca's son and his position as The Boys' leader. The rest of the crew is fed up with his falsehoods. With more at stake than ever, the Boys and Butcher must find a way to work together and save the planet before it's too late.

The Boys Season 4 is likely to pick up a few months after the third season, with Annie January aka Starlight (Erin Moriarty) working with the Boys as she adapts to making a difference without her superhero alter-ego. Hughie (Jack Quaid) will have some family drama as his mother reappears in his life, but could this impact his relationship with Annie to progress? It seems right that Marvin Milk, aka MM or Mother’s Milk, would take the role of leader for the boys while Frenchie and Kimiko explore other relationships. The penultimate season is set to focus on the Boys instead of the superheroes. Below is the teaser trailer:

Season Three of The Boys stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Colby Minifie, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchell, Claudia Doumit, and Jensen Ackles. Season 4 new additions include Valorie Curry as Firecracker, Susan Heyward as Sister Sage, Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Joe Kessler, Derek Wilson as Tek Knight, Dan Mousseau as Webweaver, Rosemarie DeWitt, Rob Benedict, Omid Abtahi, and Elliot Knight.

The character of Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Joe Kessler is reportedly set to appear in 6 out of 8 episodes of Season 4. Joe Kessler is one of the key sources of information for The Boys, which they utilize in their campaign against corrupt Supes, but in the show, he is rumored to only have scenes with Billy Butcher as per VoughtHQ.

The Boys is based on the comics of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, who also serve as executive producers, and developed by Eric Kripke. Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Phil Sgriccia, Craig Rosenberg, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Paul Grellong, Ken F. Levin, Jason Netter, David Reed, Meredith Glynn, and Michaela Starr also serve as executive producers. Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television Studios are producing The Boys, along with Kripke Enterprises, Original Film, and Point Grey Pictures.
