Netflix has officially renewed The Lincoln Lawyer for a third season after a blistering performance with 40 million views and getting into the top 10 shows in 81 countries. Netflix confirmed the renewal through an announcement video (watch above).
Based on the fifth book in The Lincoln Lawyer series by Michael Connelly, The Gods of Guilt, The Lincoln Lawyer Season 3 will consist of 10 episodes. Manuel Garcia-Rulfo will return as Mickey Haller. Becki Newton (Lorna), Jazz Raycole (Izzy), Angus Sampson (Cisco), and Yaya DaCosta (Andrea Freemann), also reprise their roles. With the current situation in the film industry, which is affected by various strikes, we may not get Season 3 before 2025.
In The Gods of Guilt, Mickey Haller gets a text about murder and when he learns that the victim was his own former client, a prostitute he thought he had rescued and put on the straight and narrow path, he knows he is on the hook for this one. He soon discovers that she has returned to Los Angeles and is back in the swing of things. Mickey, rather than saving her, may have put her in danger. Haunted by the demons of his past, Mickey must labor diligently and apply all of his skills to a case that might make the difference between his final redemption and proof of his ultimate guilt.
The second season of The Lincoln Lawyer premiered with the first part on July 6, 2023, while the second part arrived on August 3, 2023. Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez are the co-showrunners with David E. Kelley, Ted Humphrey, Dailyn Rodriguez, Michael Connelly, Barry Jossen, Ross Fineman, and Tana Jamieson as executive producers.
“The audience response to the show has been so gratifying and wonderful, and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to dive back into Michael Connelly’s universe and bring Mickey Haller and his world to the screen again,” said Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez on Season 3 renewal.
The Lincoln Lawyer Season 2 finds the hotshot lawyer Mickey taking on the case of a chef named Lisa Trammel, who is accused of murdering local developer Mitchell Bondurant.
