Netflix has revealed the full-length official trailer for the upcoming Swedish-language series, ‘Barracuda Queens.’ Inspired by true events, the girl gang heist series, ‘Barracuda Queens’ will release on June 5, 2023, on Netflix, worldwide.

Barracuda Queens is loosely based on true events and follows a group of young women in the 1990s who conduct thefts in order to rebel, seek thrills, and get revenge on men who have wronged them. The show depicts a world in which some people get away with wrongdoing while others do not.

The series is set in 1995, the beginning of the electrifying “girl power” era. Lollo, Klara, Frida, and Mia are four rich and privileged Djursholm girls who dubbed themselves the "Barracuda Queens" since they used to party on Barracuda Beach. When confronted with a large party bill, the girls devise a risky plan to plunder their new neighbor Amina's home. Things don't go as planned, but Amina is more interested in joining the group than in bringing charges. The sisters join forces in an escalating campaign of house burglaries against their annoying rich neighbors. They are high-achieving students and daughters by day, but ruthless thieves by night, seeking thrills, liberation, and vengeance on men who have wronged them. And no one will ever suspect them... will they?

The cast of the series includes Alva Bratt as Lollo Millkvist, Tindra Monsen as Klara Rapp, Sandra Zubovic as Frida Rapp, Tea Stjärne as Mia Thorstensson, Sarah Gustafsson as Amina Khalil, Izabella Scorupco as Margareta Millkvist, Carsten Björnlund as Lars Millkvist, Max Ulveson as Calle Millkvist, Johannes Kuhnke as Claes Rapp, Mirja Turestedt as Viveca Rapp, Michaela Thorsén as Cecilia Thorstensson, Meliz Kargle as Laila Khalil, Gino Estera as Farshid Khalil, and Christian Fandango Sundgren as Tobias among others.

The series is directed by Amanda Adolfsson from a script by Camilla Ahlgren. The list of writers also includes Sofie Forsman, Tove Forsman, and Veronica Zacco.
