Deadpool Rumored Cameo in Doctor Strange 2 Could be a Post-Credit Scene

After reportedly being teased on Doctor Strange 2 official poster, a new rumor indicates that Deadpool could make his MCU entry in the post-credit scene of ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.’

First, a Deadpool-like figure was spotted on the Doctor Strange 2 poster and we highlighted various possibilities of Merc with a Mouth making his official entry in the MCU. Now, the latest rumor which comes from the 4Chan forum states that Ryan Reynolds' character could appear in a post-credit scene and not in the main story of the movie.

The last time we saw Deadpool in the Deadpool 2 movie, he was walking out with Cable, Colossus, Dopinder, Firefist, and Domino after their encounter with Juggernaut. However, there was also a mid-credit scene where saw Deadpool breaking the fourth wall and deleting every mistake Ryan Reynolds did with the help of Cable's Time Machine.

According to the rumor, "Deadpool along with Cable, Domino, and Vanessa are exploring the Illuminati facility due to the Illuminati's multiversal gates being left open after the fight with Wanda. Deadpool is joking with the bodies of some members including referring to the office. Deadpool then makes a joke/4th wall break about Patrick Stewart's Professor X being dead again for the 3rd time." The rumored cameo in this scene includes the same trio which Deadpool 2 had. If true, this also means Josh Brolin could be coming back to the MCU as Cable. Previously, Brolin played Thanos in the MCU. 

The rumor also mentions the death of Professor X played by Patrick Stewart, who has already confirmed in an interview that he is part of the movie. If true, this could be a major spoiler from the film. Professor X has previously died a couple of times in FOX's X-Men films. He died in X-Men: The Last Stand and Logan.

Deadpool has been long rumored to make his MCU entry in a Marvel project after it was officially confirmed by Marvel Studios and Disney that he will be part of the MCU. Once the rumors of Doctor Strange 2 became hot, Deadpool's entry into the MCU through the Multiverse of Madness seems like the best option to officially make Deadpool canon of the MCU. Deadpool 3 is currently in active development and could be set in the MCU.

The 4Chan post also mentioned a mid-credit scene. According to this rumor, “Strange is sleeping after the events of Multiverse of madness and he has a nightmare where he sees himself training an apprentice, a ruined New York City, a dead Wong, Dormammu's Sister Umar and a glimpse of Kang the Conqueror. He then Wakes up with a third eye and hears the voice of Clea (Charlize Theron) saying, 'Help Me!'.”

The rumors related to Doctor Strange 2 are hot and they will be till the film is officially released for the general audience. Patrick Stewart's official confirmation indicates that not every rumor is false, but still, they should be taken with a pinch of salt. Ryan Reynolds has denied being part of the film saying, "I'm promising, I'm not in the movie."

Directed by Sam Raimi, ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ will release in theaters on May 6, 2022.
