‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ is now officially in the theaters, worldwide. The hype surrounding the film is far from being over, but we have already got our next mark.

Today, Marvel Studios has revealed the first teaser trailer for MCU's upcoming movie, ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ after it was shown in the post-credit scene of "Spider-Man: No Way Home." The teaser confirms the Multiverse narrative started in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ will continue to dominate in a much crazier way in this sequel as well.

The trailer begins soon after the events of No Way Home as Doctor Strange doesn't heed Wong's warning, "Don't cast that spell, it's too dangerous." Strange realizes, "We tampered with the stability of space-time. The Multiverse is a concept about which we know frighteningly little." "It was the only way," Strange explains. "I never intended for any of this to happen."

Below is the official poster art for ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ featuring multiple Doctor Strange and Wanda/Scarlet Witch.

It also confirms the return of Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda and Chiwetel Ejiofor as Mordo. In the trailer, Strange goes to Wanda asking for help related to the Multiverse, but she was expecting him regarding the events of Westview that happened in the Disney Plus series, WandaVision. Wanda declares, "I made mistakes, and people were hurt," not realizing Strange is not there to discuss the events in Westview, but he needs her help regarding the Multiverse.

Mordo also has a significant role to play, he was last seen in Doctor Strange (2016). "I am sorry Stephen, I hope you understand the greatest threat to our universe is you," says Mordo as we get to see the first look at evil Dr. Strange - "Doctor Strange Supreme," first seen in animated series, "What If?.."

The teaser confirms the rumor of Doctor Strange Supreme appearance, which began shortly after the fourth episode of "What If?..." So far, Wanda was considered as the main antagonist of the film, but his appearance suggests that two versions of Doctor Strange may end up fighting each other.

The trailer also shows ancient demon of chaos, Shuma-Gorath (it could be Gargantos as well), and America Chavez played by Xochitl Gomez.

‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,’ which is currently going through reshoots, will release in theaters on May 6, 2022.
