Dutch Series ‘Dirty Lines’ Gets Trailer and Release Date at Netflix

Netflix has revealed the full-length trailer for the Dutch Series ‘Dirty Lines.’ The series that focuses on the rise of phone sex in the 80s will release on April 8 on Netflix, worldwide.

The series completed production in Amsterdam last year. ‘Dirty Lines’ is made in collaboration with Fiction Valley and inspired by Fred Saueressig's book 06-Cowboys regarding the rise of the telephone sex lines in the late 1980s. 

The 6 episode series of Dirty Lines starts in 1987s Amsterdam, at a time when Dutch society was transforming rapidly. Marly Salomon, a psychology student, takes on a side job working for Teledutch, a company founded by two brothers, Frank and Ramon Stigter, who developed Europe's first erotic telephone lines. Frank and Ramon become rich overnight and Marly find herself engaged in this wild and immediate transformation.

The final years of the Cold War sparked a sense of hope and encouraged a new generation to celebrate life to its fullest. Amsterdam became the epicenter of that cultural revolution with a radically new form of music: house and a new love drug: XTC. The erotic phone lines provided the opportunity to experience anonymous sex in a new way, affecting the morality of its consumers, but also very much the people developing it.

The series stars Joy Delima, Minne Koole, Chris Peters, Charlie Chan Dagelet, Abbey Hoes, and Benja Bruijning. The cast also includes Julia Akkermans, Yari van der Linden, Joes Brauers, André Dongelmans, Ayla Çekin Satijn, Laura Bakker, Pip Lieke Lucas, Casper Nusselder, Manoushka Zeegelaar Breeveld en Eric van Sauers.
