Netflix has revealed the official trailer and release date for two of the upcoming Fullmetal Alchemist movies, ‘Fullmetal Alchemist: The Revenge of Scar’ and ‘Fullmetal Alchemist: The Final Alchemy.’


‘Fullmetal Alchemist The Revenge of Scar’  will release on August 20 and ‘Fullmetal Alchemist The Final Alchemy’ will release on September 24 on Netflix, worldwide.


Both the film titled differently - Fullmetal Alchemist: Final Chapter - The Avenger Scar and Fullmetal Alchemist: Final Chapter - The Last Transmutation was recently released in the theaters on May 20 and June 24, 2022, respectively.


Both the films are direct sequels to the 2017 Fullmetal Alchemist live-action movie which was released in Japan by Warner Bros. on December 1st, 2017. The legend concludes with these two films, which create a "full version" of the story that continues until the end of the original manga.


In the movie, Ed and Al travel to Central, where a serial killer is preying on State Alchemists. While the criminal's name is unknown, he is known as "Scar" because of the X-shaped scar on his forehead. When the brothers are also targeted, they fight Scar. Ed's Automail is shattered in the face of tremendous power, and their lives are hanging by a thread. Will the brothers be able to get through this dilemma and resurrect Al's original body? Hidden governmental secrets, the "Promised Day," and Ed and Al's father's background — layers upon layers of riddles and truths are revealed as the drama nears its epic conclusion. What is the brothers' final response...?


Sori Fumihiko has directed both films based on the screenplay written by Miyamoto Takeshi and himself. The cast of both films includes Yamada Ryosuke as Edward Elric, Mizuishi Atomu as Alphonse Elric, Honda Tsubasa as Winry Rockbell, Mackenyu Arata as Scar, Dean Fujioka as Roy Mustang, and Sato Ryuta as Maes Hughes.
