What the fifth episode of The Last of Us Season 2, Feel Her Love, has in common with Episode 4 is that it, too, opens on a terrific note. The conversation/interrogation, which superbly goes from something formal to something personal, comes with an ominous revelation: "It's in the air." We learn that the basement gates B1 and B2 have been fully closed, and when two characters find themselves going inside B2 later, you understand why that opening scene was important. What looked personal also turns into a satisfying setup. These first few minutes imbue this episode with a mood of apprehension. You feel that things will go seriously wrong - you think that perhaps Dina will die or will come closer to death. Well, Dina does come close to getting bitten by a "smart Stalker" when she and Ellie once again come across an army of infected. Jesse, however, arrives at the right moment and saves them. He and Tommy came together and then split up to cover more ground. Jesse found the theater, saw the map, and arrived on time to rescue Ellie and Dina. Yet, I cannot shake off the feeling that Dina will meet her maker sooner or later. Mortal peril looms heavily over her.
But all this gloom doesn't steal away the romance, the fun Ellie and Dina have with each other. When the latter is busy triangulating and the former offers her services, we get this wonderful word: Non-school-oriented. Ellie and Dina have a good sense of humor. They bring a peppy energy to their romance. They have a bright and cheerful smile as well. Bella Ramsey, especially, has a face that, within seconds, undergoes dramatic changes. Watch her sober, quiet, and calm for a few minutes, and then ask her to smile. You will feel as if lightning has struck; you will be startled. Ramsey brings great, volatile energy to the screen. She can stir something deep within you. Notice how unhinged she looks when she tortures Nora. Her tough expressions, combined with the red lights, take this scene to the realm of horror. If the infected individuals can destroy you with bites, Ramsey's Ellie can kill you with her looks.
Final Score- [8/10]
